...but still every gamer knew about Killzone...why? because the media called it "halo-killer" and that was enought to hype it and make it known
Great games don't need ads.. bad games do, SONY knows that gaming sites will do the advertaisment for free..how? well, gamers want to know about the games they are looking forward to so sites must post hands-on, videos, interviews etc in order to keep gamers returning to their sites either as fee payer (like IGN insider) or to...
DON'T PAY ATTENTION TO THIS REVIEW
Who would review Killzone in 2 paragraphs?...the guy says he doesn't like War based shooters ( I didn't know there were shooters where weapons were used to shoot flowers) and that got enough with R2 and Gears 2...
...and he writes that the games is out in JANUARY (Januari in Swedish)...he WRITES, it's not a typo...go figure
I guess people will dig and spent days on internet with the only purpose of finding reviews where...
@Exclusivegamer
My point exactly...during 2007 we didn't talk about RFOM being the best looking game on the PS3 but about Uncharted, early during 2008 was MGS4 and GT5P...then LBP wasn't that far behind...now Killzone 2 and so on...the quality improves all the time...it's the HW that makes those games possible rather than an optimized gaming engine for the PS3 so we can expect big things this and the coming years.
@EXCLUSIVEGAMER
"ps3s father was right all along.
" next gen doesnt start until WE(SONY), say so."
To be fair, when I played MGS4 I felt that "this is next-gen" and I'm sure we'll get the same feeling from GoW3 and GT5...the important thing here is that no developer so far has said anything about maxing out the PS3 so expect that "this is next-gen" feeling tto remain true during the coming years
Even XBLA devs have...
R2 SP was better than RFOM SP and RFOM was really fun to play so that's says it all.
Historically, people have always complained about vehicles levels but now all of the sudden they are important...
A R2 review 2 months after release...I think there are enough good ones from important sites to this one have any impact or relevance
@pixelsword
"Just wait until you see it with your own eyes, then judge"
I won't judge...I know I'll cry, hug my PS3 and turn a candle to a Ken Kutaragi picture for his vision when designing the PS3 HWw...he's a genius!
I've never cared about Crysis or whatever you can play on a PC because to get the best experience you need to upgrade every year...yeah games looks great but provided you count with certain specifications
I like consoles because you buy a piece of HW and games look every year better and better without you needing to do anything to the consoles, development is more standardiserad and devs can specialize and get the better from the HW as the time goes.
On the PC devs s...
Yeah I guess, people don't like the console....20 million consoles sold worldwide where the cheapest has been sold for 399 in only 2 years in the NTSC/NTSC-J region and 18 months in PAL territories (it missed x-mas 2007 there)... yeah doomed
The truth is that X360 just caught up with PS3 regarding sales since dec 2007, since then SONY had sold 2 more millions console than Microsof before the price cut after that they are just like a year ago with the difference that PS3 kept it...
I don't think it's worth it to own both right now not if you have had a X360 from launch, my X360 died and is gone since a year ago (Mass Effect/Bioshock/Halo3 "era") and the only thing has happened since then is Gears 2 and maybe Fable 2. I'm still waiting for those games Microsoft is supposed to have under their belt for 2009 to see if it's worth it to re-pick up one.
I had all 3 console and only the PS3 has survived for many reasons: HW reliability, you don't need ...
WARDEVIL. It will be made official
If he makes some game exclusive for the X360 then I get a X360 if it makes one exclusive for the Wii then I get a Wii, if it' a multiplatform I just have to wait for it.
I really don't care if those games comes to the X360 if that means cash for Kojima that will help to have hin around making more games then welcome to the multiplatform world!!
1 reason...HD DVD is dead, gone, mortuus...you don't find HD DVD here in Scandinavia, those sections at any retailer/webstore have been renamed from "HD format" to 'Blu-Ray'
The day Blu-Ray was declared winner it reached news papers, TV, etc...it reached the masses hence the average Joe...before that only 5% of the people knew there was a "HD war" going on...today many of them don't even know there was a format called HD DVD nor care...Blu-Ray = HD for them ...
the DS3 has Sixaxis so they didn't go anywhere...I think it's a great feature in some games, they are always optional (Lair the only exception now patched)...in Warhawk is way easier to fly by using the Sixaxis.
Good use of Sixaxis:
- Folklore
- Warhawk
- Heavenly Sword
- Ratchet & Clank: TOD
- Super-Rub-Dub (PSN)
- Toy HOME (PSN)
- High Velocity Bowling (PSN)
...which other I missed? I need some help here peop...
I don't really see why someone would need PS3s for that, at work we have been using (during several years now) Lotus Sametime for worlwide chatting, web training, meeting and support sessions...you can even share a session..where each user can sit in each side of the world and take over/return control of mouse and keyboard in order to show each other how to setup stuff in a system or whatever...
using a PS3 for that doesn't make sense...that stuff you have it already on your PC...
True
I just know that I joined this site a while back because I found it really useful with all those great news about games...link to interviews, trailers, etc
right now it seems like a bunch of users have taken over the site and publish stuff only as part of their own "console war"... a part of them publish the "PS3 is dying", "Blu-Ray fails" and "X360 rocks" articles and the other part of those users must answer with the "PS3 is alive&...
It's the right price, it will get a price cut when in reality the manufacturing costs are lower...or if a new console comes out that delivers more value for the same price.
It happens to me when playing Fallout 3.
I don't think this is the best the X360 could offer, the game wasn't good, it's competition were PS2 games...it was the typical title that comes out during the 1 year of a console life-cycle...it was then when several of those "Best game catalogue" got really high scores just because looked better than a PS2 game.
I think it's great it will be available for download, though...19 USD would be a fair price I guess unless extra content is included.
The mos...
I'm planning to get a PSP and this game has been in my last, it was released a while back but still looks like fun.
you guys must understand that if SONY released this on PSN what PSP owners are going to say?
If they would release it over PSN I would actually think twice before getting a PSP as I'd assume that probably more PSP would come to PSN sooner or later.
