for gamers is obvious that those gamer are multiplatform but for the average Joe to see that a GTA game, Fallout game, Burnout, Rock Band it makes it appear as those titles are only on that platform in addition to Halo 3 and Gears

Sorry but I've been playing VG for 30 years now and I can tell you Prototype will bomb (in relation to those high expectations)...people can say "it's fun"...well, "Monsters vs Aliens" is also fun.
and the only sanbox lovers that are winners are those that have the possibility to play inFAMOUS.
While this is awesome...I think a big part of E3 sucking is the internet media, all news and leaked trailers take away the surprise factor from E3...people expect SONY and Microsoft come with even more announcement that all the stuff leaked on internet and that's not possible
I'd have prefered to see this trailer at E3 for the first time... I just hope it wasn't planned to be shown, this hurts more SONY that helps them.
All joking aside, I think people is mixing 2 different things, on one side the X360 port of MGS4 and on the other Kojima's new game.
The MGS4 port will probably be announced by Konami rather than Kojima itself, that's not really news nor will make E3 the greatest ever. Today is clear that there are no 3rd party exclusives really so Kojima's game might as well be muliplatform...
I just hope it's timed exclusive and PS3 is the leading platform...whatever quality th...

During June 2007 the European Commission was invenstigating disc scratches and did ask Microsoft about replacing all X360 in whole Europe. July 2007 Peter Moore announces the 3-year extended warranty. Coincidence? maybe not, no one knows why the EU commision didn't follow the investigation but probably that announcement was satisfactory enough and the best deal MSFT could get.

That's not the point, the point is that it tells you how good the game is, if he was eager to put that much time on the game is because it was fun...I don't think he did that for a N4G headline :)

Agree, besides that's stupid...raping kids? I mean c'mon those are big words and actually nothing fun to be used in this way...only teens think that's funny or a cool headline...later when they grow up and get kids realize how stupid that kind stuff is and feel ashamed that they once thought it was funny or acceptable as it wasn't supposed to be taken "seriously"...

Can't be PSN games as they are releasing there more than just a couple so the difference would be bigger in that case unless Microsoft has several X360 exclusives...

I agree with what you say about needing to boot up the disk anyway, when I had my X360 by the time I inserted the disk and the game started, sometimes either the room was full, game started or I just couldn't join (connection lost)...it not always work like many people say, in Gears you had to access the multiplayer screen first and then accept the invite via in-game dashboard of course... in many cases didn't work and had to ask for a new invite as it's gone as soon as...
Indeed, I played Bioshock on my X360 (R.I.P.) so no purchase for the PS3 version...I thought it was too much backtracking, though
Anyway, AAA titles like Bioshock ported 1 year after won't sell the same, people hangs around in forums, read and watch spoilers about a game they probably have accepted will never be able to play...not everyboy are PC gamers, there're a lot console-only gamers...those didn't feel like Bioshock PS3 was that fresh anymore...

I don't care about that DLC, the only thing I would like is a patch for missions check points...if they patch that I might consider re-picking up the game to beat it, I gave up after I realised it felt more of the same and how you had to start from the beginning when failing a mission...you know, leave hotel, hijack a car...just ot get to the mission's start...
On the X360 that was fixed with the DLC...it might be the same for the PS3...the DLC is coming some day of course, reg...
This is actually how things worked with the PS2, SONY never hyped games but players themselves recommended a game, gamesites pointed out the great games and so on...
VGChartz has been heavily supporting VC, PSUniverse as well...all that for free, neither SEGA nor SONY have payed them a single cent...why those sites would do that? Why N4G would bother posting news about this game?...it's because at the end of the day we are all gamers and we want to see great games be experience...

The only thing Microsoft can buy today is DLC and cheap franchises like Manga Carta 2 (coming to PS3 anyway) and the cheapest CAPCOM franchise today: Lost Planet 2 (looks awesome running on their multiplatform devkit)
PS3 is a monster you can't stop = New games, Developing Studions WOLRDWIDE generating game to a pace that neither MSFT nor Nintendo can match...that's the reality of this gene...

Sony is actually the only one that takes chances and give freedom to developers, otherwise we would be playing Jak&Dexter and Sly Cooper rather than Uncharted and inFAMOUS...who else would put their launch title, a FPS in the hands of Insomiac?..great developers, but before that they worked mostly with platformers.
