Looks awesome. Vex were always my favorite enemy.
How do articles like this get approved? Fake News yay.
Abandoned? Hyperbole much
Yep, the 7th cannot come soon enough!
If MS lost money on the first game, it would be a hard sell for management to invest in a sequel. Phil has to answer to guys higher up to him who answer to a board and stock holders.
What I would do though is offer a deal with Insomniac but limit the funds to what they think they can realistically make. The marketing in the first game was for a AAA game, maybe market and spend more like an indie.
Looking really good. The small ship is a great update I feel.
It was marketed well, yes. They even had that White Xbox Bundle to go with the release. As for the dudebro marketing, that is what the game was. Maybe that wasn't appealing though and also maybe that is why it didn't sell well. Personally I thought it was good fun, but I can see how it might be annoying as well.
It didn't even sell well based on the market share. I remember trying to get an achievement where you had to group up with others online and could never even find anyone.
Shame the original game didn't sell better. It was marketed well and was a good game, didn't make much sense.
Destiny 2 is an event based system and at the moment there aren't any active events.
Why?
It feels bigger than Vanilla D1 did. And definitely bigger than any of the expansions.
@IGiveHugs: read the article, they say the Sandbox games are taking over traditional Single Player games. It isn't just about Microtransaction but games that players live in and will buy future content. Including DLC. Destiny originally had 0 MT's it was just DLC like Horizon.
@NordKevRain: Yes, better than Borderlands. And in my opinion by a large margin. I usually put about 100 hours into Borderlands games "which I love" but I typically put over a 1000 hours into Destiny games. The raids especially are better than anything in Borderlands. And in Destiny 2, I would even argue that the characters rival Borderlands, Fail Safe is up there with the best of them.
Any filtering system will do both. It will check an existing list of applications and if it finds an unknown application it will most likely send the signature to the vender to check it unless the app has a feature to turn that off.
@Ashlen, if you are connected to the internet, Windows Updates sends hardware information when searching for Drivers by default. Can you block it? Yes. Would anyone block it? Not unless they want a terrible experience. It is difficult to do and makes Windows worse which is counter productive. There is no feature in Windows to turn it off. You would have to do it on a firewall level or through the registry, unless you are running an enterprise version of Windows which you could do it in Group ...
The second you install Windows they know that information. In fact the OS HAS TO KNOW in order to load the correct drivers etc. Also has to know this information for Windows Updates. So yeah, sorry it is too late lol
Horizon is a sandbox game with DLC. So it follows the Destiny Model to a point.
First of all it is not nearly dead. And 5 weeks is a long time. Most Single Player games I have trouble getting 1 week out of them.
Shame it isn't on PC or X1X, imagine what they could do with better hardware.
