pretty depressing trend..
At this stage in the cycle, maybe not. A lot of current owners are upgrading.
Let's look at the latest releases of games on Xbox and Playstation.. Forza 7, GT Sport, Assassins Creed Origins, Shadow of War, Sonic Forces, COD, Wolfenstien.. Xbox One clearly wins the game argument here. Forza is better than GT and Xbox One X offers a better gaming experience on all the third party games.
And once you add in the UHD BluRay to round out the entertainment experience it isn't really even close.
I have Diablo 3, Warframe, Destiny 2, Path of Exile, Tomb Raider, Gears, Halo, Witcher 3 installed and have no issues with space. And if I ever do I will just buy an external drive for cheap. It is a non issue. My PC is in a similar situation, I only have SSD drives and my biggest drive is 1TB "actually 977GB". When I need additional space I just delete a game I am not playing. I can add it back later if I want to play it again.
Hard to get excited about this when your phones screen is so much better with better battery life. But I suppose even a bad option is an option.
With all the games being built on X86 hardware now, I don't think we will ever see a next generation to be honest. Consoles are just PC's now with Console UI. We will see hardware refreshes like Pro and 1X but not true next gen consoles. And this is a great thing, means Backward Compatibility is all but guaranteed.
Since they added HDR to the PC version, PC version clearly wins here.. And PS4 Pro clearly loses.
It really is amazing. Great for explaining what those features are as well as showcasing the system.
I own a Switch.. And I own Zelda and Mario. I will turn it on again when Metroid comes out.
Nice, cannot wait to try it.
lol.. like you can get a graphics card close to Xbox One X for 200 dollars.
I just spent over 1000 dollars on a phone with 64GB of storage lol
Definitely the Xbox One X. Significantly better hardware. The regular PS4 will be fine for the exclusives and the Pro upgrade just isn't enough to justify, especially with the lack of a UHD BluRay drive.
We have external storage. The 1TB option is fine. Much rather buy an external drive for cheap than have the console price hiked. Plus all our games and saves are stored on the cloud so we can add and remove them as we please. Basically this is a non issue with good solutions.
Awesome game and it can be very taxing. The amount of ai and effects on screen is rather insane.
Decent games sell sure. Decent game aren't top sellers, hence my logical comment.
"The NPD Group reported in September that Kingdom Battle, released on August 29, had become Switch’s top-selling third-party game since the console’s March launch."
This is what happens when a console has no games for the consumer to choose from lol.
Got mine yesterday morning. Which was also Destiny reset day, so I didn't get to try any enhanced games since Destiny 2 isn't on that list. However, I already saw some improvements even with that game that isn't enhanced at all at this stage. Better frame rates "meaning less drops, still 30fps of course", better 4k upscaling, much faster loading times for the game and events. The menu also works much faster now, loading the inventory and performing tasks. Also the world ...
I agree. I would sacrifice resolution for Frame Rate every day. But I also understand why developers prioritize Resolution over Frames.. Putting 4k on something is a marketing keyword and sells. Putting 60fps on something means nothing to the average consumer.
I specified latest releases. As for the Resolutions.. I can tell the difference very clearly on my 65" TV. But not all people have good eyes so maybe you have an argument there, extra cost of glasses might come into play for those users.
