I own all consoles because of exclusives, but I wish didn't need to. Zelda Breath of the Wild is the best example. I bought the Switch solely for that one game. And I loved it. But playing it is so frustrating knowing how good it could run on PC, and in fact many users are playing it through emulators on the PC looking for a better experience, because frankly the Switch is really bad hardware for gaming.
My feeling is this.. Make hardware good enough to stand on its own...
I did get a PS4 for this very reason actually. Although it was never this bad as far as the difference.
I have to be honest, I never played a single game that Mythic made, so I won't comment on that studio.
Bioware is still awesome. I don't get the hate. Dragon Age Inquisition is one of my all time favorite games. And Anthem looks epic. Also enjoyed Mass Effect Andromeda, didn't really get the hate. At least not as far as the single player game was concerned.
What developers use their own engine today? Respawn used Source Engine for Titanfall 1 and 2. It was a modified version but still Source. And that is like a 20 year old engine haha. Frostbite is such an awesome engine.
I didn't like it on the Rift so I had no plans of even looking at this one.

@OpenGL: that is an 800 dollar graphics card alone, without a CPU, Memory, Hard Drive, Case, Controller, Power Supply, Keyboard, Mouse and defintely not a UHD BluRay. So yeah, I expect a machine that cost probably around 1000 more to do better lol.
And no 250 dollar console is comging close to the performance. As pointed out it is over doubling the PS4 Pro.

If I had a PS4 Pro I would certainly be thinking about it. This stuff is getting out of control. Sony should be ashamed.
@badz149: It is definitely hitting 4k, and more often than not as they point out. But yes, if you want to get technical it is using an adaptive Res so it is only 4k most of the time. If you really want to nitpick. Still a great feat that only high end PC's could pull off. And something PS4 Pro never even sniffs.
The developer also added that it will be Native 4k and 60fps on the Xbox One X.
Depends on the Graphics Card you have, Xbox One X came very close to the Ultra experience on the PC at 4k, which is feat that only very high end graphics cards can pull off. We are talking very high end and so very far from a 500 dollar computer haha. Overall they came away extremely impressed.
Time will tell, but I am going with a glass half full outlook. EA has so many assets for the types of games Respawn makes, the Frostbite Engine in particular should be interesting in the hands of Respawns developers. They also have a lot of assets for Star Wars that hopefully can be used to make their upcoming Star Wars game even better.

@0B1Biker: the games I have played the most this generation are Diablo, Destiny and Warframe. All three on all consoles and now also on PC. Don't get me wrong, I have also enjoyed Uncharted, Gears of War, Ori, Persona 5 etc.. But those games are just passing phases not games I am heavily invested in.
As long as their are tons of great games, why do you care about exclusives? Is it so you can talk about it on the internet? Can't you just be happy like playing great games lol
