Uncharted treats you to very different locales and experiences from one game to the next AND within each game.
No two games in the series look the same.
You don't get the feeling of, "oh this place feels very familiar because it's so similar in design to the other places I've been to in the other two previous games".
Know what I mean? :)
Except this game was demoed in 2005. Before Army of Two was even announced.
Remember that back then the PS3's install base was a lot smaller than it was when Enslaved came out.
Most want to please and appeal to the masses that pay the most. Such as the COD crowd.
Unfortunately, the most of the COD crowd won't care about other games that try to emulate COD to appeal to them because they're too big a fanboys to give anything else that's not COD(or FPS) a chance.
Good links.
The PS Vita is supposed to be the most developer friendly PlayStation system to date.
I don't think whoever this analyst is, is aware that Sony is being very supportive of indie games. ..
It's just an opinion piece guys. Relax.
Is the concept of unlocking things in games gone now?
This is BS.
Marketing, media hype, word of mouth, the coattail effect, most people are sheep?
I don't know. It could be any of those reasons.
I don't even know why WiiFit sells so much.
lol
Colors and tones change.

How come this hasn't been done for Gears? All 3 games LOL.

Never mind, the first game was more grey than brown...
@Dmarc
Wow you have terrible luck....
Their target audiences are different.
Their games are different.
And frankly, because they are so different, a lot of people don't care and get both (minus the hardcore fanboys on N4G).
Well PS Vita isn't THE reason. It's not even released yet, so it's not like it's losing sales to it at the moment. But it's obviously part of it.
The thing is, PS Vita has much better tech than the 3DS for the same exact price. Vita is half a year away from release and it already has half as many games announced than the 3DS has released since it launched about half a year ago. So Nintendo has to make sure no sales are lost to it with a price drop.

My mistake. I'm not knocking 3D. When I said that it doesn't make much of a difference, I meant that the graphical difference isn't very noticeable when playing in 3D.
Digital Foundry showed a 2D screen of a 3D image which shows how the 3D effect can be a bit taxing on a game's graphics.
Not saying it's bad. Just pointed out that for the better graphical quality, 2D is best. But yes, the 3D effect really makes up f...
You don't know that.
There's nothing wrong with linear. You'd be insulting hundreds of amazing games from today and the past which have great replayability.
Uncharted is not just a "shooter".
It's an action-adventure game involving a lot of platforming and third-person shooting.
Gameplay is similar yet refined and in some areas vastly improved from one sequel to the next, involving new features, etc. I'm...
For Resistance 3. If you looked at the comparison pics, the graphical quality is lower in 3D.
But then again I don't think there would be much of a difference while playing(in motion).
3DS has been released for half a year.
Vita still has half a year until it releases.
Vita already has almost half as many games announced.
I'm waiting to see what they show at GamesCom and TGS before it the PSV launches.
No. A ton of casual games helped the DS and target audience marketing.
Known Nintendo franchises didn't help the GameCube or the N64 which had well known Nintendo exclusives and "lost" to the PS1 which came out with brand new franchises.
You'd think unknown games would be unable to match Nintendo's franchises back then, but I guess that wasn't the case back then and it won't be the case now. The PlayStation brand is a lot bigger than wh...
Generally in anime, hair color is more of a personality element and not about race/nationality.
