70 million is hardly "bad selling."
awesome movies.
You missed the point.
You're speaking of touchscreen ONLY.
A flat surface just doesn't feel the same as actual buttons and analog controls.
There's still a lot of games, exclusive or otherwise, missing from smartphones.
A gamer who wants a gaming handheld won't buy a phone.
No one buys phones to play games. It's always a secondary feature.

That's a really vague way to describe both games.
"Platforming, puzzles, shooting and story by cutscenes".
With that, you're also describing several other games. Like Ratchet & Clank, for example. And that game is nothing like either TR or UC.
The only thing Uncharted and Tomb Raider have in common, is that they're both adventure games starring two treasure hunters and have stories based on the lost-world genre. Similarities ...
@ Inside_Out
Crysis 2 looked the same on PS3 and 360. In fact, the PS3 version looked closer to the PC version than 360.
And I love how you hand picked the Gears of War 3 video that showed nothing but cutscene visuals, LOL.

Tomb Raider IS borrowing elements from Uncharted.
Developers said so themselves.
Just because one game did it first doesn't mean the other game is nothing but a copy. And by "it" I mean that they're both treasure hunters. And that's it. The "lost world" genre has existed for many years before these two games and before Indiana Jones.
As a a fan of BOTH since the release of each first game, I can easily spot the differe...
The only possible competition here, is for the casuals. Nintendo and Sony don't need to compete with smartphones over real gamers.
PSV was priced right. 3DS wasn't. And those who want one will get it anyway.

You don't get the quality, games and controls from a real gaming handheld with smartphones.
They're two different markets. Developers aren't just gonna stop making handheld games on Nintendo and Sony systems in favor of mobile games.

Except no one uses cutscenes to compare Uncharted"s graphics.
Maybe toy are just an average fanboy.
This isn't even worldwide, is it?
Here's what I found on Amazon.

Seems like a very believable price. Although it could easily just be a placeholder.
But not Nintendo overall.
"last time i checked cod was a FPS"
Oh ok. I guess being an FPS automatically makes it hardcore then.
I was referring to the games in the first year of the PS3's life. Not sales.
PS3 has been selling fine since launch. So yes, people were very willing to shell out $499.
How much more casual can COD get? LOL
Why is Bulletstorm in that list?
It was repetitive and got plenty of hype....at least on the internet, lol
Got the sales it deserved.
Yeah, usually when development is 360-led, calibration is done on 360 and isn't corrected on PS3.
Although this game overall isn't that visually impressive on either system.
MGS2 may not have been as good as the original.
But DMC3 was definitely better than the original.
There are plenty of women out there with a bigger set than the new Lara.
I don't have anything against her. We'll see how here new character pans out.
- "the fact that it is still a first-person shooter, a genre that has overtaken the industry for years now. A genre that has been beaten to death and is starting to lose its creativity."
Really??? And this somehow doesn't apply to Modern Warfare 3?
planetXbox360.com have some of the worst fanboys. I just hope they got paid by Activision for this article. Because reason #3 cancels out reason #1. It's contradictory, stupid and desperate.
