Console gamers....
Man Sony need to bring Resistance back. Is it as iconic as Gears of War? Nope. But I had a ton of fun with Resistance 2.
No man, Resistance 2 was hella fun.
The Windows Store SUCKS. Their framework isn't ready for mainstream gaming.
The game has flaws. The lack of fill in match making in Horde mode is a big one. They also need competitive crossplay so the PC version won't feel so dead without it.
But that graphics and frame rate though. Over 100 FPS in 2K ultra with Windows Store game? Nobody saw this coming.
110 FPS at 2K Ultra. I haven't seen a game that is so well optimized since Doom 3.
Now it's impossible to complete thanks to the lack of fill in match making.
After playing Horde mode for 4 hours I found that I was only able to outclass bad to below average console gamers. The more skilled players can top or match me at every wave. The most interesting thing is that once they realized that I'm a PC Gamer most Xbox gamers really want to play deathmatch with me.
They definitely should enable competitive crossplay, I think the Xbox community will get a huge kick out of this.
Ok all the sudden the Xbox Online is starting to act weird on me too. It took forever for to me connect because my cloud settings wouldn't load. Then afterward I can't friend anyone because their gamer tag wouldn't load. Maybe the servers are getting hammered.
The entire Windows Store implementation of this game is totally shit. The store was clearly not ready for an 80 gig game and all the issues that brings.
None. They're both fakery instead of getting the real native resolution.
Since when is this an issue? Look at how console gamers gobbled up remastered. Paying full price for old games is beloved tradition for console gamers.
Another click bait comparison.
This game is basically Microsoft's version of Doom. Retro gaming that looks great and for a UWP title, incredibly well optimized. With a 1080 GTX I benched 90-120 FPS in ultra 2K.
Now if only they can fix the downloading issues for some people...
Well it would be nice if there's more tangible support for the power of the Pro aside from fake scaling. Basically the Pro is a premium product, and I would like to see that premium reflected in the games.
No latency controllers only help Pro players who are playing in front of a PC monitor with 1-5ms response time. The vast majority of console gamers are playing in front of a TV with 90-120 ms input lag because they have no idea that game mode exists or are playing on a TV that doesn't even have game mode. It's no wonder that the 60 FPS standard doesn't exists on the console when faced with such an audience.
240 Hz is another example of why the TV industry are full of lies and deception. So it's no wonder to me that the consoles joined in with their fake-scale. The most disgusting thing is how Samsung and others are now pushing a new marketing "120 Mhz Native" lie just when consumers have caught on to the 240 Hz fraud.
Bloodborne=Dark Souls 3, except Dark Souls 3 is 60 FPS on PC . FFXV? LMAO!!
Uncharted? Meh, PC gamers isn't missing anything. I have yet to hear a single PC gamer complain about the lack of Uncharted in their life. Now if you were to drop their favorite game down to 30 FPS then it'll be the end of the world.
People prefer consoles because 30 FPS that dips into mid 20s is more cinematic. I suppose this is where console players will tell each other than FPS doesn't matter.
I just played Gears 4 in 4K 60 FPS. It's epic. But then again I have a 1080 GTX. Even then, I'm at a lost for words in regards to how well optimized this game is.
A UWP a game that runs great. I didn't think such a thing is possible.
It's disgusting that Sony finally have the same tech the ancient Dell PC in my company's cafeteria?
