Most of the VR games are like this. The only ones that doesn't feel like a demo are the core games that offer VR support like Elite Dangerous, Project Cars and War Thunder. With these games VR feels completely organic instead of some sort of VR try hard.
Essentially I think this is the way forward for VR, games should be games first then VR experience second.

Damn. I had a chance to preorder this for $35 and didn't bother. Guess I blew it.
Come back and play the game with the 1.4 patch. Your concerns were addressed and more. The entire open world is the Dark Zone PvE. Also by doing weeklies and dailies I got over 70 gear sets and weapons drops in one day.
It's an entirely different game now.
He's running a god mode set 1.3 that allows him and his group to clear contents with ease by stun locking enemies. That gear set is now nerfed to the point where it's now pointless to have two people with the same gear because the cool downs are shared. Since everybody and his dog were running Reclaimers in the 1.3 patch it's no wonder he's getting kicked after 1.4. He's probably the third guy in every group with Reclaimer, and yet the moron blamed this on the community&#...
I've read glowing reviews of this game. Looks like Titanfall 2 is what Titanfall was supposed to be.

Idiotic article. Patch 1.4 saved the game, on the PC I hear it all the time in world chat about returning player being shocked at how good it is now. As for the moron author complaining about the community, he's getting kicked from groups because once his god mode full Reclaimer set is now nerfed into the ground. The shared timer made it pointless to have 2 group members with Reclaimers. That's why he's getting kicked.
I could never get into this game. What I was expecting is something epic like BF with mechs and CoD gameplay but it turned out to be so damn limited. The potential and scope of the game turned out to be a huge let down.
I can feel the power of the checker board flowing through me. Amazon is shipping this day 1 for preorders right? I haven't played a console game since my PS4 died on me back in August. They need to hurry the hell up.
I enjoyed the game as is. I just wanted more of it.

The exploration aspect of this game is a god damn joke.
PS VR will be obsolete in about 6-12 months. So will every VR solutions out there. Once the WiGi standard becomes available it's curtains for all 2016 VRs.
Only basement dwellers can be in VR for more than an hour at a time. For me it's impossible, between the occasional text, phone call or GF running around it's only a matter of time before something or someone breaks my immersion.
This is why I don't even bother with my OR until after 12 am when my entire world are asleep.
So is there going to be Pro support?
That 1080 GTX is a gaming god. Have one myself. BF 1 Ultra at around 80-100 FPS is just crazy.
But I'm still getting the Pro because sometimes you gotta slum with the peasants.
Without VR nobody would give a damn about RIGS or EVE Valk. In short they're not fully fledged out games that can stand on their own without the vR experience. Take War Thunder for instance. There's millions of players online on both consoles and PC with a ton of content and it's VR experience is just as compelling, if not more so than any VR exclusives.
