exactly. people are getting rights and privileges confused. i have the right to free speech, but i don't have the right to automatically be quoted in every newspaper or TV news program. this game also has the right to be made, but it doesn't have the privilege of being on Steam IF Valve doesn't want it there.

i think this speaks on the idea that the people who are so out of touch with video games still think they're "kids games." like how we would be playing the Atari or NES at 10 or 15 years old. so when a "game" comes out with lots of violence or nudity or what have you, these people gasp and go, "wait a minute! kids shouldn't be playing this!"

i stopped a long time ago and tried to go back recently, but i just couldn't. i think the Living Story/World content is a bad way to bring people back in, because if you're not there right when it's happening then you pretty much miss it. for example, i stopped playing over a year ago, so i missed the stuff about Lion's Arch being destroyed. i got to see the ruins, but i'll never ever be able to experience what actually happened.

so far i haven't bought a current gen console because i haven't seen any must-buy games on them. this game, however, is the first current gen console game i've seen that i really wanna play. it looks like a ton of fun.

i've played all three games, and i'd say Borderlands 2 is the most fun. they're night and day different genres, though, so a lot of it depends on what you like.
i haven't played this game yet, but i've heard about the enemy rank system, and how it's dynamic based on your encounters with them. how they can remember you later in the game and evolve depending on how previous encounters happened. these are the types of "next gen" changes i want to see. not just minor graphical upgrades or slightly better framerates, but changes that affect how we play the game, how the game reacts to us, etc.

i have a Gigabyte HD 7970 with 3GB vram. any idea what kind of performance i can get on max settings without the 6GB texture pack?
do any of you play Fallout 3 on Windows 7/8? way back in the day, i tried it on 360 and couldn't get into it. i kinda want to give it another shot on PC, but i've heard it's not "officially" supported on Windows 7 or higher. does it have any issues running?
if anyone takes 80+ hours to beat a Souls game, they must be absolutely downright terrible at the game. a normal play through is easily 20-30 hours without speeding through or skipping anything.
it does look and sound amazing, and it's definitely caught my interest. one thing i have to point out, though, is the comment about the length of Souls games vs the supposed length of LotF.

i don't have any Steam titles i'm ashamed to own. i do, however, own the Hannah Montana game on PS3, as well as the platinum trophy for it. for a very brief period of time, i was determined to get as many trophies as i could, by any means necessary.
that is a game i'm definitely ashamed of. lol.
the game looks great, no question. but even without the HUD, it's blatantly obvious which ones are screenshots and which ones are real life. GTA games have never had top tier lighting, and the textures aren't that great either. GTA graphics have always been impressive because of their scope and attention to detail. those things bring the world alive when you're playing the game. but in screenshots, many other games look better than GTA.
