I've been traveling this holiday season the. The Wii U was in stock in NY, Connecticut, Arizona and every place I visited back in the Los angeles area. It's not selling like a typical new holiday release console and that is not a good thing (this quarters sales forcast is going to take a hit). Now don't come off claiming I'm a Nintendo hater, far from the truth (I like anything tech or games and have every Nintendo console), but Nintendo has left a weird taste in some people...
After Boarderlands 1, I was good. Really was not compeled to play the follow up. I'm more intested in Gearbox's upcoming Aliens Colonial Marines.
Heck yeah! The Saboteur was a heck of a lot of fun. One of the few platinums I have I got playing this game. The story was interesting, the evasion was fun and there was tons of things to 'splode! It realy did deserve more attention, but it got burried by the avalanche of games that hit that year. I'd kill for a follow up even if it were set in a differenet era.
Bait. Clicky. Wants hits. No real meat. Not anything gamers need to focus on anyway.
This whole ordeal has nothing to do with video games. The air the guy breathed had more relevance to his life shattering episode. So let's blame the air for going into his lungs allowing him to breath.
The anti-gameing victorian-age thinking obsessive ignorant nuts will stop at nothing until games are nothing more than supper fluffy kid-like everyone wins type games where you do...
Yeah, what rising cost of memory? Apparently not paying attention to the recent memory market crash.
"Ferraris and Testarossas"
Obviously not a car aficionado.
Some nice details on the history of Vice City.
Love how it's a staff article. Why so mysterious?
An autorunner game (usually bassed off preexisting templates or code), is not what I would call "cutting teeth into game design". Hardley dabbling.
I don't buy games for box art, hell I don't even pull the booklets out to look at them unless the inteface design is a mess. The meat is the game itself.
I'm just fine with my standard controller and love the options of using my motion, move and wheel controls WHEN they are properly tailored and suit the game. If you're looking fo more buttons, get a Jaguar.
??? A hacker was needed to reveal this? No. The Cpu, Gpu and other internal component data have been arround for some time, IF you know where to look and what your are looking for. Knowing the limitations and applicability would tell you what you needed to know (if you care). The Wii U is the next Wii. Nothing groundgreaking, just current tech (and older, now cheaper tech), being put to interesting uses. It does not mean it is not a bad product, it does it own thing, but do not hold it on the...
Yeeeeah, 'cause a nintendo fansite blogger would know more than the misunderstanding developers that are working with the system rather than strictly playing on it.
This kind of logic need not be encouraged.
This must be shtick.
Utter nonesense.
99 cent games equates to Amature? That's rich coming from laymen.
The 5 dollar and even low 99 cent price points have been fantastic for "Amatures". (As you put it). Do you have any idea how many studios (well known) are using these price point models? or that they are not limited to a single SDK or platform (iOS for example, is one of many that they cater too).
Nintendo would be good to open their doors to non-proprietary hardware particularly...
"One of their employees, Conrad, braved the flooded, unlit city streets on a bicycle to recover the game from the darkened offices"
"a person put himself in harms way so that the game wouldn’t be released late. "
I was in an area greater impacted by the storm. Still worked on our projects until power went off and continued to work on other aspects via phone, laptop, pen and paper for the next week until power was restored and roads were op...
This topic is old and busted. The industry and relevant opinion have already accepted the importance or art in interactive multimedia. Stop beating this old dead horse as though you just had some type of epiphany.
Nice to see Fallout New Vegas Ultimate edition hit 20 bones. Been watching that price drop with a few resellers. I have the collectors edition (got it for 30 bucks a year ago), but no way was I going to drop full DLC price on the PSN store. I'll just pick up this edition to get the expansions. It will fill my fallout needs as I cap baddies and mutants while rock'n to Lazy day blues.
Yeah, I'm sure there is a lot more that we are not privelaged to know. What he did for the African campaign was pretty slick. He certainly used decoys, props and diversions on a much bigger scale. Gotta appreciate those lesser known WW2 stories. I would have loved to see the Nazi's faces when they learned they had been had by his talents.
"As genuine as possible". I believe that is what Goodrich said to some slack-jaw journalist that could not differentiate the definitions of 'real' and 'genuine'.
-That makes more sense. See what happens when you get interrupted mid-post?
@somebody "the Magic guy" is Jasper Maskelyne.
Oh wait...was that classified?
Any big surprise? Not really. does no one recall Sony's methods of tracking first hand sales on disc based games? (this was evident with the failed playstation rewards program).
It all depends on how they truly utilize the tech. There are a lot of patents out there for things that never get implemented or they get reiterated into something different altogether. Chill out. Nothing to fret over yet.
