Yeah, it usually is not that good. Even the audio quality is not as dynamic.
They also recycle the same damn voice actors over and over to where you here them in just about every damn game you play (I lived in Switzerland for 5 years, a good chunk of my game library is in German).

Oddly I liked Killzone 1 more than I did the sequel. The multiplayer in KZ2 didn't grab me and while the campaign looked nice, it did not bring me back for another go. Still won't keep...

Hmm... I'm thinking the Sword familiar in Symphony of the night.

Nier had a good assortment as a more recent game (although some were just not big enough ;)).

The Master Sword at #1? Um...Why? There is very little story/interaction/customizatio n etc.etc. concerning the Master Sword. It is famous for its Sword in the Stone rip-off scene and that is about it.
I think that is one of the things about Zelda that just seems stale to me (that and the y...

Needs something to grip onto. Why the hell can they not just not fashion it closer to a dual shock controller? I hate having to squeeze my portables between my hands to be able to hold the unit and press oddly placed buttons.

"any serious gamer expects bugs.”

Any serious gamer, had played ass-tons of games and knows what a polished and FINISHED title should look like. If the game is finished I do not expect bugs (and I'm serious about that :_)).This run to publish and hit the numbers is the other side of effect Kotick and crew.

This attitude of we'll fix it as we go is BS. Supporting that ideal is also BS. A solid product should have had a freak'n crackerjack QA tea...

Yeah, Nier is a gem that many will continue to overlook. Too bad for them.

It's not just skin-deep kids.
I'm not into RPGs or JRPGS mainly because of the hokey stories, the 15 year old protagonist, character styles that have been overused since "The Bouncer" or turn based gameplay (for RPGs). Nier takes all those bits and mashes them up into a Japanese action RPG that is geared for older audiences and pokes fun at itself all the while (plenty of WT...

Irving is one of the best things about RE5 (after countless years of RE, his character was the last thing I expected to turn up in a RE game). Too bad he had a meltdown.

"You twos" (in Irving's nasaley-whiney classic gangster voice).

Why would Sony, Apple, developers and the like not like the guy?

Because he does not work or function as a legitimate professional. I work with a couple SDKs, large software packages and tools/resources with witch I have to follow the terms of use etc.etc., otherwise I loose that privilege, get sued or worse. Not to mention it's just plain bad business practice (which is not his concern since this idiot feels he is untouchable since he did not agree to anything). Point be...

The scarest part of Deadly Premonition was York/Zach turning into Anderson Cooper at the end.

I'm getting so sick of sites and blogs trying to declare genres and play styles "dead". It's just like when idiots were trying to say 2D gaming and graphic adventure games were dead over 10 years ago. BULLOCKS.

Mix up your freak'n gameplay (it's not the industry's fault that all you play is survival horror games, or FPS for those whom prefer those types of games etc.). Things come back around. Just check out the current titles that are selling l...

Mature? Maybe for tweenagers. I still have my original copy of Alundra. It is a beautiful game and totally worth checking out. I actually liked Alundra 2 more for its quirky silly style even though it really had little to do with the original. Besides when you have Earl Boen doing pirate voices in a game, it automatically raises the awesome factor.

Just for marketting sake, it should have been free across the board, but another part of me says that there is no excuse for the horibble, horrible artwork and sloppy animation that was used for the story elements so maybe it would have been better to just keep this one hidden in the basement.

"Should Developers Listen to their Fans?"

Yeah sure sometimes, but if this occurs all the time, then there goes all the original creativity, ideas themes stories etc. You get stuck repeating peices the fans like, such as Raving Rabbids.

BTW Urahara. Fans, knew nothing about BG&E or Jade Whom was modeled after Ancel's wife...Geez. Get over Fan-service.

I'm looking forward to it. I was chomping at the bit way back in the day when the original screen shots and vid of DNF hit the internet (what was it 10 years ago? CRAP!). But I gotta say, it is a load of BS for any of these large publications to kept boasting how the game would likely never see the public market with the whole 3D realms fiasco. I mean com'on, if was a freak'n give-in that the IP would be picked up (I'm just glad they were able to do it without butchering DNF i...

Aside from all the Dynasty bits, it reminds me of Rygar in some ways (the PS2 version). More so than Quantum Theory (most of team Rygar).
Looks freak'n cool.

Yes, own a Wii and It works well as will the Move. I'm not talking about functionality, they work but only up to a point. I'm talking about the level of programable sensitivity. Your body, arm, and hand move, no matter how steady you are. This is where a govenor (restriction) comes to play to steady/stabilize.

Now add distance. Real or virtual your accuracy is effected regardless. Softtware aids in the positioning
Now game play mechanics will have to be ...

I guess this guy is not playing with a dual shock 3 too often.

As far a this accuracy goes, there is no way the product will be super acurate, your hand / arm is not steady enough a govenor must be in place to " hold" a steady position. Try holding a laser pointer steady, now do it for about an hour and see how accurate you are.

Yeah, Halo has absolutely nothing to do with the topic or even fall into the same catagory as the games mentioned.

Halo did have upadates, new assets etc to make it graphicly better (better mapping, lighting, tecture types etc. etc.) than the last version. Now we just have to wait for some jackball to try to add killzone to the mix right?

All of these IPs have had a reboot or updated look or style redesign.
I see where the author was going, but the title needs a re-work. These are titles that have reused the same classic style on one platform or another.

For example Castelvania on the Game Boy advance and DS keep that classic style alive, while the console games reach for new territory.

From the article:

"The Xbox 360 and PS3 versions will come packaged with a sensor bar and high-sensitivity camera to read your movements (we’re not sure yet if it’s compatible with Move and Kinect), while the Wii version will utilize the Nunchuk and Wii remote."

Now here is a fact about Red Octane, they designed the controller specifically for this game which brings IR controls to the mix. There is footage of these features in action. Just search y...

Right there with you. There were things about Farcry 2 that just stunk and others that were spot on.
Crysis in my mind is the true "Farcry 2". I did not really need a sequel anyway and why the hell not bring Jack back if you did? It would have been a hell of a lot better than a mute random pick mercenary.
Farcry 2 had so many shallow ends and the character development was one of them. Hell the Jackal was the main target yet you are so displaced from him you don'...
