Killzone really doesn't have that different of an art style from the rest of the shooters out there. It has grit, darkness, gloom, and lots of industrial elements... It's really not all that special.
Granted, I do love Killzone (especially Killzone 2), but it's not like it's the most original art style and atmosphere. I would say Halo has the most different art style/atmosphere of any of the big FPS franchises out there. The Forerunner architecture, especia...
The instruments are looking really nice, but I'm a bit worried about the detachable neck. There were a ton of problems stemming from the detachable neck on those Guitar Hero III controllers, right? I know this is a different company making the instrument, but it's a real point of worry for me, especially considering this has 102 buttons (see: 102 possible malfunctions) versus 5.
Let's hope they perfected the design and the detachable neck doesn't cause so ...
All the hate for the PSP Go is stemming from one person hating it, then everyone else starts joining the bandwagon. For the most part, it's a fantastic system. Could it benefit from a UMD-Go conversion process? Oh, absolutely. I think that's the one thing that would push all the haters to actually want one. But as it stands, the PSP Go has plenty of great games available to it, and the added convenience of an all-digital system as well as a much more portable one brings it to be a...
It's on the US PSN for $10.
Yeah, the article is talking about the PS1 games that are being given away for free with a PlayStation Plus subscription.
To the author of the article: That being said, it is silly to complain about this. Syphon Filter was also given away for free, but the article is missing that little detail for some odd reason. Also, they have given away three PS1 games. PlayStation Plus was just birthed a couple months ago. Give it some time before you start ragging on what they'...
I think it's more likely that they're pissed because Halo: Reach apparently marks their biggest videogame advertising spree, and seeing all this free hype they're getting makes them wish they didn't spend all that money on the campaign.
That guy was obsessed, but it's a pretty fascinating story, nonetheless. If you don't know who Michael Larson is, he was an ice-cream truck driver who sat at home and watched game shows all day to see if he could find a way to hit it big. He watched Press Your Luck continuously and found a pattern with the whammy board, and went on the show to go on to win the most money anyone had ever come close to on it.
Really awesome story, very depressing ending. But as much ...
My hero K-Bizzle is badass, and will always be the epitome of awesomeness. Marcus, though? Ugh. If they want to deter more people from the PSP than attract them, I hope they continue running this "Step Ya' GAME up!" campaign, because I honestly can't think of anyone who would be attracted to a system after a terrible ad like that runs on their TV.
I'll admit I'm biased because I have never enjoyed this kid or his humor in anything I've seen hi...
It was my understanding that this is just MotorStorm: Pacific Rift with 3D functionality. What is the point of picking it up if you're going to be playing it in 2D, and you presumably already own Pacific Rift?
Unless I'm wrong about this being just Pacific Rift with a 3D makeover?
XD That was strangely hilarious.
Sony is NOT disabling USB ports. They would never do such a thing. That rash decision would effectively take care of the problem and patch this hole, but the USB ports are used for way too many useful things (memory backup being arguably the most useful) for Sony to outright disable them/remove them from new models.
You must not have played Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly or Silent Hill 2, then ;)
Lol I love catching people on that mistake XD
That's just plain awesome. It would get me to ride my bike more, as sad as that may sound XD
It's pretty awesome how Harmonix handled this. I was laughing quite a bit at the way the "shot down the rumors". XD
Setlist is looking very very nice. :)
Lol. Same here, actually. I was getting all excited over the Mario Kart 64 one... but then I saw the God of War demo in Gears of War and I thought to myself: "Um... wait a second.. >.>"

Since Kotaku is a sister site to Gizmodo, I'm not surprised at all at them pulling a douche move like this. Gizmodo blows all sorts of crap. Kotaku is only slightly better.
It's also my favorite mode. Probably the most satisfying mode in my personal opinion.
And that round of Pacifism was outstanding. I could never even get close to that ridiculous score :\
My problem is more with hitting the sides of the gates that keep popping up rather than the blue wasps, though, lol :P
Effing pirates. The cancerous organisms that are eating virtually every industry out there from the inside, out.
It's unfortunate that news stories and investigators want to peg all these killings on videogames. Videogames are such an easy scapegoat. It's the simplest possible form of motive for them to talk about, and parents eat it right up.
Sad but true :\ If only an article focused on the actual reasons, like you said: inherent mental illness.
