at the risk of sounding like a total noob, Ive always wanted to get into skyrim but everything about it is just so confusing to me. anytime i fire up the game im constantly clueless as to where i am or what im supposed to be doing. i get the fact that its the way RPG's work, but id personally appreciate a little more hand holding in terms of objectives and storyline.
well, if it plays anything like the watered down madness returns, you can count me out for sure. that game was such a let down from the previous title. hopefully this new installment is in fact legit and will be a little more creative and not so EA games friendly. they used to be a lot different, but now its like EA's job to make a game as watered down as possible to try and gain a broader audience. what they did to the alice series was just awful.
the first alice game was a little weird, but thats actually what was so great about it. it was unique in its own messed up little way.
madness returns (the second game) was just another unreal engine 3 game. typical platforming/hack n slash mechanics. yeah it kind of looked a little creepy but it wasnt really anything too weird to play. really forgettable game.
cant wait to see famitsus review scores on injustice. i would love to see an american fighting game have at least critical success in japan.
game informer has always loved the Mortal kombat series and im really glad to see that same love carried over to injustice as well. bravo NRS!
Fine read, really. starting to feel pretty in the dark about not having this game in my collection.
GAMESTOP. FOR THE LOVE OF GAWD, HURRY.
it just pissed me off so much to see that people tried to attack psn by saying that it was an insecure service, when its actually just as secure as xbox live. the only difference is that at the time of the psn attack, xbl wasnt a target.
Im not trying to say that im happy xbl got hacked by any means, but in a way it SUREEEEEE ISSSSSSSS SATISFYIN' to finally see all those baseless, STUPID "psn isnt as secure as xbl" arguments taken down just like that.
on the one hand I think its stupid as hell for 2k to think that the cover reveal is something anyone would be too excited about. yeah, rock is an icon but holy shit, a cover reveal? its not like half the world wouldnt have guessed it anyway. i dont even watch wrestling anymore, but because i have heard that the rock is back, i honestly would have assumed he would be on the front cover.
On the other hand, LOL...man what a hilarious mistake.
when asking myself this same question, my mind used to think "absolutely! its totally worth it to pick up a game, regardless of the time you decide to play it." but my heart used to make me feel as if i couldnt touch an old game....NOT if there was something new out there.
i think that all changed about 2 years ago, when i actually hooked up a ps2 to finish up MGS2 for the first time. Since then, i think i almost enjoy the simplicity of retroish games more so than ...
we understand that mainstream gamers dont care. Not the point.
there are just about a million examples of 90something rated GAMES that mainstream gamers dont care about too. does that make those games not as good? should we not care about those games just because theyre not as popular?
were not on two separate teams here, us and the "mainstream gamers" were all just gamers. some of us care about it while others dont. doesnt make the issue any less importan...
I think that one thing EA needs to do is step back and realize that they are one of the few companies who can (quite literally) afford to take risks. so many games theyve made over the past few years have been lackluster at best, knowing that their brand name or neutral concept will sell well anyway. what would benefit them most is to admit to themselves that "everyone outside of our circle of games, pretty much hates us", and expand their horizons to ideas that might cater to those...
I just think.......preorders work for the people who make them. sometimes you just need to make sure you have every dime down on something you want so you can get your hands on it the moment its out there. its got nothing to do with how many will be sitting in the store a few days later.
if you followed NRS in the last few years as closely as others, youd know that this is anything but "comic book bandwagon".
people are shitting all over this article, but its what both you and this article are saying is totally understandable. I am 2 trophies away from uncharted 2 plat, but i lost my save a while back. the problem is the GAU trophy opportunity comes pretty late in the game. not playing UC3 till i get that platinum, only i havent touched uc2 in over a year or so.
cant imagine what its like to lose 100% data on a much bigger game like ME.
this was an insane read. rarely hear of a developer having such a strong distaste for a company.
Either way, i really hope that his games get a chance to see the light of day, perhaps via ps4 thanks to the whole revamped green-light process.
in its time, MGS4 was absolutely one of the best looking games ever. but "still"? as in: to this day? no way. MGS4 is visuals are ultra dated by current blockbuster standards.
either way, MGS5 will regain the crown for best visuals of that year, probs.
But ZOMGYEAH. wouldnt it be the most incredible thing if that was ps4 footage??? :D
the ability to boot players from ranked matches should be virtually non existent. perhaps a voting system could work, but ive seen so many games where gamertag and rank are displayed along with the option to boot. its unfair that the host could manipulate that aspect of a match.
yeah, you definitely have a point. all this fire breathing hardcore gamers do only brings a warm breeze to the casual gamer. what im trying to say is that lots of gamers have heard about the always-on and dont like it, however only a very small percentage of those gamers actually care enough to stay away from the product. millions of people are out there are saying things like "did you hear about how the new xbox has to be always connected? that sucks!" its funny though, how in all ...
NEW BLAZBLUE? I just bought continuum shift AND calamity trigger!! happy to see that i could spend months practicing just in time for the next installment.(:
