I paid £199 for the Premium on launch day, thanks to a pricing error on Amazon. I wouldn't have paid any more than that.

@nukeitall I have been running Linux on my PC since around 2000, so PC gaming wasn't really much of an option for me. :)

Nintendo's focus on the portable market is probably why the Wii U is currently not doing so well, especially now with the Rayman Legends delay and lost exclusivity. With regards to release line-ups, the 3DS is to the Vita as the PS3 is to the Wii U. It saddens me to admit this as a Wii U day-one buyer, still only owning two games.

However, speaking also as a Vita day-one buyer, I'm still very glad I bought one. I do sometimes fall back on PSP and PSOne games (I'...

As a core gamer, I ditched gaming early during the in 2001 for the duration of my college and university years - partly to rid myself of distraction and partly because I actually became more interested in my studies and other things.

I didn't buy my next gaming system until 2007, and the console I bought was a PS2. This would be like a core gamer buying a PS3 today.

In case you doubt my status as a core gamer, I currently own a PS2, PS3, Vita, DS, Wii, W...

4K projector for a 720p(?) game. Overkill much? I'd still like to try it though. :)

This could definitely happen.

Whilst it would be annoying to all the PS3 owners who don't intend to buy the PS4, it would be very clever of Sony to place such a highly demanded game as a launch title on the new console.

I could definitely see myself buying a PS4 if it's the only way I'll get to play The Last Guardian.

Am I the only person who does most of my Vita gaming when I'm travelling (e.g. commuting to/from work) without an Internet connection? This makes Remote Play a practically useless feature to me.

The Vita OLED screen looks very nice, but the experience on Vita simply doesn't compare to a 42" TV with higher definition, the nicer DualShock 3 controller and 5.1 surround.

I'd be all over this if the game ran natively on the Vita allowing me to pl...

Thanks for the suggestion; I've been using ZSNES for many years and never really thought about switching. I'm installing SNES9X now to give it a try.

I'll try Higan later too, but it looks like I will need to compile it myself because there's no package in Gentoo Linux available for Higan at the moment. I guess it should run OK on my i7 3820 3.6GHz. :)

This is why I will stick to ZSNES.

I'm so disappointed about the delay, as I was so excited to play this game.

On the other hand, it's great that the game will be multi-platform. I don't need to decide which version to buy because I'll just buy both the PS3 and Wii-U versions. Then I can play the game with the GamePad features and also get myself another Platinum trohpy.

If it's as good as Origins, it will be well worth playing through more than once, as I did when I boug...

I completely agree with deafdani here, particularly with regards to never offering price drops. If you don't believe me, do the comparison yourself.

Nintendo First Party Prices (Amazon UK):

New Super Mario Bros. Wii: £41.64
Mario Kart Wii: £31.99
Super Mario Galaxy 2: £39.84
Kirby's Epic Yarn: £28.99
Donkey Kong Country Returns: £38.45

They are already available on Vita. :)

Just download the following two PSP collections:

- Capcom Classics Collection Reloaded
- Capcom Classics Collection Remixed

These two collections include 39 games in total, including all eight games listed in the article. I believe I only paid around $10 for both, but that may have been a sale or discount price.

It costs $50 a year. Would you really expect them to give you the games to keep at that price?

The subscription price is so negligible that I don't see any reason to stop subscribing.

Buy a better game? ;)

Rayman Legends is a day-one buy for me. I love Nintendo's platformers, but Rayman Origins was even better than anything Nintendo has ever done IMHO. The game was so good that I bought it twice so I could play it on both PS3 and Vita - I platinum'd both versions too.

I'll definitely also be buying Bayonetta 2 and The Last Of Us, and probably Dead Space 3 too.

Do people really spend sufficient time on the can to play games?

I don't know about anyone else, but in the time that it takes me to find, boot up and load a game on any of my portable hardware, I could've been done on the can already. We're talking about a two minute process; not a lengthy train commute. Are people really not capable of surviving two minutes without some form of entertainment?

Resistance: Burning Skies.

I don't usually buy games on impulse, but I was getting desperate to have something - anything - to play on my Vita, and since Resistance 3 was good, then this also had to be pretty good, right? :p

I would've preferred a hand-drawn style like the original SNES game, but this isn't too bad either.

Perhaps Activision should try demonstrating some next-gen gameplay and innovative ideas instead?

There is a reason that I only own exactly ONE Activision game out of my collection of over 200 games this generation, and it has nothing to do with their rendering technology.

I do like my Wii U; it has potential, but I still feel like there are a lack of "must-have" games for the system.

So far, I only own two games: Nintendo Land and New Super Mario Bros. U.

The former is tons of fun on the rare occasion that I can actually get five people together who have at least semi-competent gaming ability. You would be surprised at how many adults here in the Netherlands have difficult just using the D-pad to control the ghost/...
