That... thing in the picture is going to haunt my nightmares.
Sure, playing those games will be great on the Vita, but it will still be even better on the 1080p TV with surround.
I'm not saying the feature isn't cool because it is, but it's still the fallback option when the ideal means to play is unavailable (because the TV is in use or you're away from your PS4).
And yeah, I've owned a Wii U since launch. I've never done off-TV play though. :)
You're right, it is my opinion, but pixel counts and number of sound channels are objectively measurable factors that can contribute to a better gaming experience.
For example, there's no getting around the fact that the immersion created by the sound of something creeping up behind you is going to be lost on the stereo output limitation of the Vita.

I own a PS3, Vita and I have the PS4 on preorder and yet I find it hard to get excited about Remote Play.

The first game may have been good, but the sequel was absolutely amazing. Every aspect of it was improved compared to the original game. It's right up there with the other SNES classics like Chrono Trigger and Earthbound.

I bought it last night, despite some poor reviews, as I was a big fan of the original Amiga version. I haven't actually had a chance to play it yet though.

Do console games NEED to compete with mobile gaming? Completely different markets.
The article is a pile of trash anyway. Who in their right mind really believes that mobile games are so much fun that people don't need console games? Games like The Last Of Us are only available on consoles and nothing on a mobile device comes close. This article is on the threshold of troll territory.
It's worth keeping in even if it's just for future cloud-based PS3 backwards compatibility. Without it, you'd never be able to play Heavy Rain from the cloud on the PS4.
As for sensitivity, I'd expect that they're using Move sensor components in it now rather than the older Sixaxis sensors.
Regarding the "Off TV vs. Dual Screen" debate, I'm in huge favour of the latter. The way I see it, if I want to play games off TV, I'll use my Vita instead. I just got finished playing throuh Ni no Kuni: Wrath Of The White Witch lately, and I kept thinking how the Studio Ghibli art-style would be ideal for a Zelda game.
That said, I'm not too fussed either way; Zelda games tend to be great regardless of their art-style.
I enjoyed Skyward Sword myself so I'm happy either way, but yeah, Nintendo aren't going to forego the newer Gamepad for the older generation controller. Some Wii U owners might not even own any of the old controllers.

Grow up? I made an observation based on articles where obvious factors in opposition to the headline viewpoint are conveniently ignored and a lot of very questionable logic is used. Arguing that third-party games are better on the Wii U is debatable at best.
And I know this because I *OWN* a Wii U. It's not in my interest to call out pro-Nintendo articles that are based in reality, but this particular one is far from it.
