That's great. :)
All the PS4 and X1 games are also listed at 99 EUR (around ~$130). Obviously place holders.
Also worth noting that Amazon Germany have the PS4 also listed at 599 euros, same as the X1.
Clearly it's a placeholder.
How many 2-3 year games still sell at full or near full price?
(Not that I'm supporting the X1's used game shenanigans of course)
N64 VC games cost twice as much as most PSOne games on PSN.
SNES VC games cost more than most PSOne games on PSN.
NES VC games cost almost as much as most PSOne games on PSN.
Then you have the collections - Sonic's Ultimate Genesis collection, Midway Arcade Origins, Capcom Classics, etc. to make comparisons with, all of which paint VC very unfavourably in terms of value.
Snookies12 is absolutely right; VC games ARE expensive.
Why can't you play it? Is the Wii U not available where you live?
Moonstone, 1991. Look it up. :)
I bought F-Zero in February on the Wii U eShop for 30p without needing to buy £10 of credit; I was able to just charge the 30p straight to my credit card.
I've never had credit on my Wii U account and F-Zero is the only game I've bought on the eShop.
I plan to do the same with Super Metroid.
I doubt any version will be graphically downgraded.
Remember that Origins came out on the Wii and looked identical to the PS3 / 360 versions (aside from being lower resolution) which should tell you that Origins never even came close to maxing out the abilities of the 360 and PS3.
That should indicate that there's more than enough hardware power on all of the current systems to accommodate the improvements in Legends. :)
This. I bought Origins on both PS3 and Vita and platinumed both of them.
I have no idea why anyone is disagreeing with you. Are people really opposed to a game being released on the Vita? Or are they disagreeing that Origins was amazing? The mystery of the phantom disagreers. :p
Cliff and Orth are both missing a very important point: Consumers don't have to "Deal With It" if the competition - the PS4 - isn't doing it.
It's funny that the rumour is rated "Hopefully". Apparently, N4G never thought to differentiate between what people THINK will happen, and what people WANT to happen.
I glanced at the code. The most interesting thing to me is that it appears to contain code stolen from GPL licensed open source projects (e.g. FreeAmp).
Taking GPL licensed code to put in a closed source project is a direct violation of the GPL licence, and prevention of such use is one of the major factors in why free software developers choose the GPL licence in the first place, which makes it very unlikely that the author of the code gave permission for such use in the ga...
As a Wii U owner, I'll be happy as long as Nintendo release Wii U iterations of their major franchises. It's pretty sad that I can't raise my hopes any higher for the Wii U, but I'm just being realistic in my expectations.
I already own a PS3 and PS4 ownership is an inevitability, so I'm not really concerned about whether cross-platform games come to the Wii U, because that's not where I'll be buying them anyway.
Maybe Nintendo should consider doing something about their absurd game pricing?
New Super Mario Bros. U still costs over £40 on Amazon. Brand new PS3/360 releases cost less than that. For example, Bioshock Infinite is only £35. Assassin's Creed III, which came out around the same time as NSMBU is even less at £20.
Why should someone buy a Wii U knowing that Nintendo are just going to gouge them on the games?
This article is completely full of fail. Where to start...
1. The quality of smartphone games is not even close to the quality of console games. Not. Even. Close.
2. Most console games do not retail for £40. Many new releases may retail for £40 (not all - Bioshock Infinite is £35), but most console games drop to below £20 within a few months of release.
Since older games comprise the majority of available games at a...
Nintendo think inside a bubble. Nintendo design their systems around the requirements of their own games. Nintendo do not offer a PS4-power system because their own games wouldn't take advantage of it.
Sony and Microsoft make efforts to work with developers to put together systems that satisfy as many people as possible.
Nintendo's method would be acceptable if the system weren't so overpriced. But Nintendo is Nintendo, and Nintendo are arrogan...
That sounds good, but why are you so sure that it's better than an XBMC-based HTPC?
XBMC will also play pretty much any format you can name. It has plugins for things like YouTube, etc. too (I don't use them, but I know they're available).
My XBMC HTPC is an Acer Revo 3610, which cost me about $250. And that was three years ago. So it's absolutely bogus for you to suggest that your player was cheaper than mine.
I don't ...
No console comes close to my XBMC-based HTPC as a media device.
That's why I choose my consoles purely for the games and not for their mediocre half-assed media functionality.
Love playing my Vita; over 50 hours into Persona 4 Golden now and it's one of the best JRPG's I've ever played. :)
