Here's me thinking that next generation could go either way...
But woah... hold on there... check out that red rectangle! I can't believe the error of my ways. What a fool I was! You took a simple geometric shape and cleverly placed it to show us the sole deciding factor of next generation, whilst simultaneously clearing us of the confusion caused by all those pesky irrelevant details that people in suits just put there to confuse us (like 55% of the global marke...
Everyone seems to forget that frequent releases mean that the games are more likely to be price-cut by the time you're actually ready to play them.
Getting the game that I want, when I want it and not having to pay full price? That's a win-win in my book.
I never owned a GameCube or Wind Waker, so I was really looking forward to playing this, but I was expecting the price to more reasonable given the age of the game.
I wasn't necessarily it to be as low as, say, Okami HD, given the immense popularity of the Zelda franchise, but I certainly wasn't expecting a full priced release either.
Yes, I appreciate that the game is a remake and has new assets, but the game is over ten years old and certainly doesn...
I'm still boycotting Microsoft for their their opposition to free software and open standards and the destructive effects they've had on the software and computing industry.
Therefore it's PS4 by default for me.
Not that I'd choose Microsoft's console anyway, given the current state of this generation.
The retail version will be cheaper anyway, at least here in the UK. Amazon UK currently have the game priced at £31.90, whereas typical PSN digital retail releases go for at least £49.99.
I see the US Amazon price is $59.99, which presumably matches the digital price? I guess I'm lucky to be British, since £31.90 is only about $48 including tax. :)
EA obviously doesn't understand the fundamentals. You don't make a successful product by imitating the ideas of your competitors.
Dead Space had the potential to offer something unique that would allow it to stand out from the crowd, but EA foolishly squandered the opportunity.
It's never too soon.
If the game comes out sooner than I want to buy it, that just means it will be cheaper by the time I do want to buy it.
I don't see why getting games cheaper should be something to complain about.
Sounds like it will be PS4 for me then. A games console is to play games. Simple as that.
I don't want a device that compromises it's core function for a poor imitation of my XBMCbuntu based HTPC, because not a single commercial media device has ever come close to matching the sheer number of supported codecs and features that I need and XBMC provides.
The vast majority of commercial media devices fall at the first hurdle because for some reason the...
Not only MAME, but Capcom themselves already released these games for PS2, Xbox, PSP. The PSP version is available on PSN and also works on the Vita.
I bought the entire set of 39 games on a PSN sale about a month ago for £8 (about $12) to play on my Vita.
"Finally, we don’t know what type of hard drive the PS4 will come equipped with. Will it be a traditional spindle-based drive or an SSD?"
Why are people still asking this question?
The slide at the PlayStation Meeting said "HDD", which stands for "Hard Disk Drive" and is therefore not an SSD. This was also written directly underneath a huge and clear graphical depiction of the inside of a hard disk drive with spinning platters, ...
"5. Still can’t grill my meats"
Last I heard, Sony are still working on a firmware update to add the PS3 grill feature.
Lots of work to do.

If only I could have played the first one. Sadly, the camera inversion option is broken, making the game unplayable for me and many others. Ubisoft refused to fix it even in the HD remake. :(
I guess I won't be playing this.
Interesting news, but personally I won't be able to use the headset since I game wearing headphones, which makes the headset useless to me.
I won't be able to use the headset because I play games wearing my Beyerdynamic DT770 headphones.
How's that for a good reason to not talk online? :)
Except if you're in the UK, where retail titles on PSN sell for £59.99, which is currently over $90.
It makes me wonder who is buying these games digitally when they're so much cheaper on sites like Amazon and Play.
Who pays just $50 for both a PSU and case? Sure, if you don't mind a shitty PSU that damages your components with a "dirty" supply and goes bang after six months inside a butt-ugly looking case that probably has inefficient airflow and cuts your fingers every time you try to tinker with it.
I paid about $120 for my PSU and Case, which are by no means top-of-the-line models either, and I'm not even much of a PC gamer.
Also, you're not go...
I'm still not really on board with this whole Gaikai streaming idea for PS3 backwards compatibility.
It's a nice idea in theory, but the latency issues involved in sending controller input to a distant server and waiting for the video frames to be sent back in response are going to make it annoying to play fast action games in practice.
I'll probably get the PS4, but I'll still be keeping my PS3 if I do.
This article seems to be stating that the next Xbox is going to require an Internet connection because... well... that's just the way things are going?
What kind of lame excuse is that? Sorry, but as someone who only plays single player games, Microsoft will need to do much better.
If they want my money, then they will need to give me a justifiable reason as to why I need an Internet connection when I'm trying to immerse myself in the world of a game...
I shall assume the unexplained disagrees mean that sarcasm on the Internet will remain undetected by some regardless of how obvious it is. :)
