I will admit, when I first saw the Killzone 2 trailer, I laughed and thought it was another Sony lie, I never considered it a possibility they would come close to it, I'm pleased to say they (Guerilla) have proved me, and many others wrong, now roll on 27/02!
Well for me it's Killzone 2 > Resident Evil > Metal Gear Solid 4 > Gears of War 2.
I understand that, I tend to only make use of party chat is when I'm playing free for all gametypes, when team work and communication becomes necessary I switch to game chat.
For me it is yet to step out of the immense shadow cast by its' predecessor, the PS2, but it's slowly garnering momentum, with a year of quality releases ahead.
Am I the only person here who thinks this is disgusting? Creating rumours about the death of someone is plain nasty.
I saw this game for £1.99 in Gamestation the other day, not sure wether to pick up as I see there are some expansions out. Would I need these expansions or does the original game still have a healthy population?
You might not make use of all the extras included with Live, but many people do. I watched my brother playing Call of Duty: World at War online with his friends last night, he was jumping in and out of parties talking with different friends, all performed in game. For more social gamers the Live party system is better, if you prefer playing on your tod, then it obviously wont appeal to you.
Exactly. Metal Gear Online is a prime example of why Sony should follow this model. I now own a PS3 only so coming off Live and onto PSN was a bit of a shock to me, PSN is decent, but learning how to send and accept invites on each game is an unnecessary frustration. I hope in time Sony sort this problem out.
Sorry, but that's incorrect. If you put it that way, then Sony copied the XMB from Windows Media Centre. NXE is not a total rip off of the XMB.
Now, for what it's worth, I consider Xbox Live better, mainly due to it's superior integration. With that said however, I also think PSN is an excellent service and more than satisfactory for free.
I feel Sony have the upper hand, as the onus is on Microsoft to innovate and continue to lead the market, whereas Sony can catch...
Devilhunter likes to think of himself as something of a rebel as he frequently spews comments to irritate both sets of fanboys. The reality is, he himself is no better than the fanboys he likes to provoke and he contributes little with his comments. The best solution is to ignore.
I don't see how MS could have entered the market with any hope of staying around for more than a generation without pouring huge sums into the XBox division.
In the same way I have always wondered why no refers to Sony as $ony.
I seriously don't think the world is ready for the Gdrive just yet.
I'm sorry, but the quality of the Halo franchise isn't up for debate. This game is played by hordes of players each day, 700,000 players every 24 hours during weekedays (unique users by the way, not including guests) and around 900,000 at weekends. These figures tell me Bungie must have done something right.
As for simplifying Tribes gameplay, many things are simplified for consoles, Bioshock springs to mind, I never liked Tribes but I do like Halo as it is far more accessible for a pla...
Darkpower, that's his point, last generation many of those franchises were Sony exclusives, this time round they're available on the 360, and the 360 is cheaper.
I really hope not, so far this gen, Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon, while far from perfect, have been much better than anything with the SquareEnix branding.
Why don't you apply for a senior position at MS? Seeing as you know how they should run their business.
Blademask, are you a year behind everyone else?
At present there aren't any fair comparisons for Killzone 2 I can think of, Crysis is too far ahead in my opinion, but Killzone 2 is far out in front of everything else.
