I imagine after this Christmas they probably think everyone who is going to pick up a ps4 will have one so there's no point in investing so much money in trying to sell more. The interesting point is the ps5 as I think if it was ready they would definitely want to show it off at e3 with all the new exclusives. Does this mean they wont have any new games to show and will be back at e3 2020 or will they never show up again and do their own thing

it's already been free with gwg and pretty sure its on gamepass
games seem to take so much longer to complete these days which also makes it harder to play everything. back in the day most games could be completed in less than 10 hours now we have huge open world games like rdr2 taking over 60 hours to complete. I still need to play shadow of the tomb raider, nier automata, horizon zero dawn, spider man and hollow knight before feb next year when we have games like resident evil 2, metro exodus, division 2, shadows die twice, anthem and crackdown 3 ( only...

I think the biggest difference now is with a lot of people buying digital, game sharing and that fact there has been more big sales most people have amassed huge library's of games and people want to keep that library across all future consoles. I for example have over 200 digital games for my xbox one and bc has been very popular. Imagine if ps5 had bc across all generations that would be insane

I think it's more likely they will announce it early 2020 and then release late 2020. if they were going to announce it 2019 they would have been at e3 and announced all the launch exclusives.
I will be gutted if it's not bc with ps4

I agree. I think it's pretty obvious we are now looking at a 2020 release for the ps5. I'm sure they will have another big event outside of e3.

$10 can actually get you some pretty good games in sale at the minute.
this is going to save Microsoft a fortune in 3rd party marketing. All the big 3rd party games outside of EA and Bethesda are going to be fighting for screen time at the Microsoft conference now that sony aren't there.
Exclusive games are certainly the most important thing and with the success sony has had this gen they have a huge advantage going into the next but I'm pretty confident Microsoft will have the more powerful console, as for the games we will just have to wait and see.
