I have total faith they can make a great game in a different genre. They know how to make a beautiful open world and I'm pretty sure they have hired plenty of talented people to help with other aspects of an rpg. guerrilla games have proven it's possible to make an amazing game in a different genre so hopefully playground can follow suit
there's been a few games recently I didn't pick up because of loot boxes and microtransactions, battlefront 2 was one of them. I don't mind so much if it's not pay to win and the money actually goes towards making a better game but the only developer I can think of who has achieved this is rockstar.
shouldn't something like this require the cloud lol
would have preferred red alert. hope at will have keyboard and mouse support on xbox
the destruction isn't blowing me away but the cloud tech obviously works and this is still the first game ever to use it at this level. I hope they build on this for future games. if I'm honest the game looks better than what I was expecting after seeing last years garbage demos. it looks fun and I look forward to playing it on gamepass. hopefully we get to see some campaign gameplay soon maybe a boss battle
I still haven't played resident evil 0 so might check that out
as long as it remains £8 a month it will ridiculous value for money next gen when games like fable and halo infinite drop
I have no idea why Microsoft didn't show a few full games at XO18 instead of a shit sizzle reel. It looks better than what I was expecting. love the sound effects and neon look of the arena and am very impressed with how smooth it runs. I'm just a bit worried it might get boring quick. I would like to see what improvements they have made in single player, would love to see a boss battle.

I think you have taken that one phrase out of context and I'm sorry you have been hanging onto that one sentence from 2015 but I wouldn't get caught up in tiny details like that as it will only lead to disappointment. I think that demo was shown more as a tech demo and clearly wasn't representative of the final product which was also stated. Nobody promised anything but I do agree a full city of destruction would have been epic but again how does that ...
@IRetrouk
I've seen you in a few comment sections now and can see you're very upset about this but I would like to make it very clear that nobody ever said the whole city would be 100% destructible. They made it very clear that it was just in the multiplayer mode which was always 5 v 5. Yes it looks totally different from the 2015 demo but like others have said it has to work from a gameplay standpoint. Whilst the destruction has been scaled back from the 2015 demo ...
the key part of the cloud tech is that it can render so many more destroyed objects. both red faction and battlefield have great destruction but the pieces will disappear quickly as the server and console can only process so much at any one time. If your not impressed by crackdown 3 that's fine, everyone is entitled to their own opinion but to say other games can do exactly what crackdown 3 is doing is simply not true
@IRetrouk
Where in that link does it show the whole city with 100% destruction lol. The developers clearly stated at the 2015 reveal that 100% destruction would only be in the multiplayer mode. We never got any more details on the multiplayer mode until last week apart from the wrecking zone description on their website which also never mentioned the whole city.
if they manage to do this I will definitely jump back in. The world they created was stunning but just so empty and meaningless.
same, if I knew it was that good I would have paid for it day one
xbox has lost exclusives not Microsoft. xbox/windows10 still has a few exlusives
is it official the co-op has been dropped from 4 to 2?
it's a valid point and it's obvious that the cloud destruction is the show piece but hopefully in the next 3 months they can add some depth to the multiplayer mode. Don't forget they didn't show Jez everything so there could be more there already. All I know is I'm more confident in this game now than I was a few months ago
It clearly looks nothing like what they showed in 2015 but it's obvious why. They are trying to make a multiplayer mode and some of the stuff they showed in the 2015 demo just would.t work from a gameplay stand point. Why spend a few minutes trying to shot a hole in a wall to create a sniper nest and then just sit there waiting to snipe. That stuff would be perfect for a more tactical game but was clearly never going to create the fast pace gameplay they wanted for crackdown. Whilst I'...
the show certainly was a cringe fest and there wasn't much to get hyped about although this article gives a better look at wrecking zone and I actually think it looks fun

come on guys, the games that sony have left look pretty good especially the last of us 2 and ghost of tsushima but how can anybody say sony not even showing up at e3 is a good thing lol. It's my favourite time of year when I get to see all the biggest gaming news in one go and now we wont even get any sony news at all. They shot their load to early just like when they won e3 with Shenmue and final fantasy 7 remake. You can slag Microsoft off all you want but the truth is they haven't ...
