Resistance 3 was straight garbage. The story made no sense, it didn’t have the have the amazing R2 co-op, and the insanely fun, massive, and chaotic MP from R1 & 2 was ditched in favor of some micro map CoD-wannabe BS. R2 has the best MP by far, and the only thing really missing from it was the weapon wheel.
Insomniac is great, but I still think the perfect dev would’ve been Sucker Punch. Doesn’t really matter though; both Spider Man and Ghost look incredible.
Remasters*
You’re going to have to define that more clearly, because we’re probably never going to see the graphical jumps we used to.

Red masters that are simply a resolution and framerate bump are likely going the way of the dodo. More than likely, PS5 will be 100% BC with PS4, and Sony will continue implementing their forwards compatibility model by giving developers the capabilty to simply update their games like on Pro and X. I figure there would also be another boost mode as well.
What does this care? Sony could implement all these features, and then 15 more, and GamingBolt would still trash the console and talk about how much better Xbox is, even if MS released a literal turd in a box.
Given that Switch is half portable, it has no real competition in that regard, plus Nintendo used the Wii U’s failure as an oppurtunity to give Switch one of the greatest launch years in gaming history. We’ll see how Switch grows YoY and if it peaks and falls as fast as Nintendo systems usually do. I’m personally predicting 85 million LT for the device. Not too shabby.

The repeal has not officially taken effect. The fact that Ajit Pai was bragging about how many ISP’s are already on board and experiencing “benefits” from its removal, before its even officially been removed, should be a huge red flag if you have any common sense.

It is funny how the argument of “exclusives are anti consumer” only comes up in regards to PlayStation exclusives. Totally fine for games like Mario and Halo to be exclusive, but how dare Sony try to market their own blood, sweat, and tears, amirite?
Spider-Man will likely see the light of day on other consoles in some other form at some point, but in regards to the Insomniac-developed series, the whole thing is exclusive. It was already announced that insomniac will likely be doing sequels, and they will all be PS exclusive.
The game is being developed by Insomniac, but Sony owns it. This is just like Ratchet & Clank and Resistance. Those games were developed by Insomniac, but they will never see the light of day on another platform without Sony’s say.

There’s more going on in the background than meets the eye. My personal guess is that Disney/ Marvel wanted to be able to feature Spider-Man in the MCU, so Sony allowed it in exchange for having rights for an exclusive video game on PlayStation.

Spyro was definitely the better platformer at the time than Crash. I’ll likely pick this up.
