I hope MS doesn't treat the 360 like they did the HD-DVD add on. I'm still not convinced that MS is in the gameconsole business for the long haul. Some of the moves they've made recently can be construed as an exit strategy.

To be honest. If I owned a 360 I would go ahead and make it red ring right before my three year warranty was up just to get a 360 with new parts.

Even if I owned a 360 as weel and they were selling add ons for $50 USD I wouldn't waste the money when all the movies will be on Blu-Ray anyway in a matter of months.
The PS3 and to a lesser extent the Xbox 360 will get a sales upward bump when the PS2 is finally discontinued. The PS2 has been canibalizing sales of the next gen systems since launch.

If it's a decent game they'll do really well on the sequel. I don't think the original is going to sell a lot of copies though (even though I still plan on picking it up).

I have to disagree. It looks like they are going for the funny and cheesy game play type. It doesn't look to even be in the same type of genre as COD4.
