I wouldn't think the rest of the CE industry would want Microsoft forcing their format and royalties down their throats. Especially when they have products that are more innovative and that they don't have to pay Microsoft to use.

Why does microsoft try to put everything into a box?
It seems like they are always trying to put limits on everything from their operating systems to their game consoles.
Don't they realize that some peoples imaginations are bigger and more creative than their own?
I guess it takes a little longer to make an xbox when you're trying to actually make it right the first time. Hopefully they'll catch up with the shortages before GTAIV is released.

There are 3 types of 360s.
Ones that are broken and at Microsoft for repairs.
Ones that just broke and are waiting for a casket for repairs.
Ones that will break in the future because it's only a matter of time that they will need repairs.
360 owners should go ahead and RROD their xbox's right before their three year warranty is up so they can get a new box with new components that it will hopefully last longer.
