Review scores do influence me but also what other gamers say about the game on forums. If it's less than an 8.5 it's an automatic rental at first. But lately I've just been buying the game and selling it on Ebay when I'm done with it.
I'll usually buy a game if it has replay ability like with an online component. Or the gameplay is long enough to justify how long it's going to keep me entertained.
And if you pickup an HDTV you might as well buy a PS3 so you can watch hi-def Blu Ray movies on it. Why watch standard DVD's on an HDTV when you can enjoy the crystal clarity of Blu-Ray.
I've said before I probably won't have the time or the attention span to finish the original GTAIV campaign let alone any extra content. There are too many games coming out this year that will divert my attention.

Either make the PS3 the lead and port over to 360 or have two separate teams dedicated to each console like Infinity Ward did with COD4.
Developers have already discovered that it doesn't work well when you make the 360 version first and then try to port.
Sony comes up with some ingenious ideas. They always seem to push technology in ways that will make sense. That my friends is called innovation.

I like how the PS3 development teams work together and share technology. That should cut down a lot on development time.

Games? Not after May and June (GT5 Prologue, MGS4, MLB 08)
Xbox live? Not after Home
Price? There the same after you have to pay for Live service. ($399 PS3 or $349 + $50 a year for Xbox 360)

They had a great concept. Too bad the first game sucked so bad. It was glitchy, had bad AI, and some things just didn't make sense.

They cut the royalties in half? I'd be hot! You already have a 150mb limit and now they cut your income 50%.
