Don't worry about us Microsoft. If downloadable content does become mainstream us PS3 owners will just go out and pickup a bigger hd to fit all that hi def content on.

Sorry microsoft but the actual content providers (the movie studios) all say that downloadable content is a long ways off. Too complicated for most people, lower copy protection, lower film and audio quality, limited bandwidth.
It's amazing what kinds of things you can implement into a game when you have a few dozen more gigabytes of space available for you to use on a disc.
And Microsoft didn't think they had a problem or needed to extend their warranty for RROD's either.
I'm not so sure I want a hand me down port that has limited content because of dvd capacity. You guys can play it I'll be playing FFXIII instead.

I disagree with the article's criticism of Resistance 1 being like a PS2 game in some ways. I felt the entire experience was next gen.
There are games out now that are better like COD4 but a year and a half ago 40 player online with great graphics and content was a next gen experience.
What other card can Microsoft play besides cutting the price? That's the only option MS has left.

I've also seen 360's but I mainly only shop at Best Buy so I can't comment on other stores and I wasn't really paying attention to 360's a month ago before they started claiming they were running short.
Maybe their having problems because they're planning a limited edition graffiti covered GTAIV SKU that doesn't include the game again.
