It's exactly why Sony went the PC and GaaS route. They know that the accolades and nominations for their SP games isn't going to bring them the revenue a Fortnite, CoD or Minecraft will bring.
This is why MS always had a mixture of both SP and MP and why they didn't give up on SoT or Halo Infinite, all the while ND fumbles the bag and cancels Factions.
Sony knows they need to switch up their strategy. They're just doing it a lot slower tha...
Lmao, MBG is your source that they're fake?
That's like getting confirmation that a 3 dollar bill is fake from a Unicorn
Oof, Jean Grey gameplay, which means Insomniac is doing the MJ type of switch up just to break up the possible monotony of Wolverine gameplay.
A new Shining Force tactics game with deep customizations and all the bells and whistles this gen provides would be an absolute day one buy from me.
Why would they delete the bloody scenes? Fighting games are already for a select audience and they don't mind blood and gore as MK already proves that.
**but that didnt stop GP users from thinking it would**
I don't think any GP users young or old thought it would outside of possibly a very small few that maybe asked the question, "is it coming to GP?" And that is still definitely different than thinking it will come to GP.
As the article pointed out Larien made it clear from the very beginning that BG3 was not coming to GP. So this is why I have to ask, why even make an article about somet...
Was it supposed to be?
I also want to say that maybe (not maybe) a few here and a lot more gaming journalists should perhaps rethink their opinions and hot takes of 343i and Halo Infinite.
They turned out a SP campaign with a MP component and was burned at the stake for missing some game options for MP.
Meanwhile, ND can't even get an MP mode out the door and people here are forgiving them and telling them it's okay.
There's definitely a double st...
Very curious and excited to see how this turns out. This was definitely a good character to make happen, just popular enough to get some recognition but also niche enough to take some possible artistic liberties with the character.
I agree somewhat. I think ND can make a multiplayer game no problem, but adding today's mechanics with monetizations is more than likely where things went wrong.
Factions was a fun game, there's no doubt they can do it. But even Factions had a limited time before players moved on. You can't do that in today's gaming. I not only think ND didn't know ways to monetize the game but probably didn't have any good ideas to keep the game fun for years to com...
Eternal Champions?! Sega is not playing around.
I seriously applaud these guys. They have these classic beloved IPs just laying around doing nothing. Why not update them for the new age but keep the same arcade feel as the originals. Can't wait!
This frees up their development for The Last of Us Re-Re-Re Remastered Edition.
So much for taking the games out of the hands of gamers.
The funniest thing about all this is how MS supposedly takes games out of the hands of gamers, gate keeps games by buying everything and yet there's still discussions on if any of their games are going to be exclusive to Xbox.
It was a great game but the game shouldn't have been nominated in the first place.
It was a by the basics sequel to a game that had already copied and pasted directly from the Batman Arkham series.
We live in a time where nothing is ever going to be original, but at least it should stand out and hold up on its own without feeling way too much like a been there done that already.
Say what you want, but this is exactly why it got zero...
Lies of P was very good, I enjoyed it a lot. But to my point below it's another game that basically lifted everything from the Souls series.
I don't mind either. But if devs can use the same assets, game engine is already there and with a game as successful and praised as this one, then why not extend the life of the game and add to it, added DLC for this would take months instead of years waiting for a sequel.
There are some games where DLC is welcomed, this is definitely one of those games
@Terry
Developers have and could always hire a separate company to create the trailer. Creating a trailer doesn't mean the actual game is in development.
Yeah, and you're insane if you think nothing will change if that happened. Developers are being bought up because hardly any of them can sustain themselves in this market. You think Sega and Nintendo could change that?
Sega bowed out of consoles. Why do you think they did, it's because the cost of maintaining hardware and triple A development was too much for them. They dropped the ball on one console, the Saturn and couldn't make up for it even with the success...
