My point still stands though, you would rather pay full price. There have been multiple games that aren't on a service day and date that have had all those issues you listed. What difference does it make if you would have gotten that game from a service plus a lot more offerings than just a single game for $70?

Wait for the next E3??

;)

Well...what has he lied about? Is anyone going to answer the question?

Crazy how people will defend not wanting a service that they pay for...a service that should be free by the way, and saying they would rather Sony not give them more games day and date.

Not only prefer it but defend it.

Imagine paying for a service and NOT wanting any perks like first day releases.

A bigger budget, sure but nothing bloated like a lot of these triple A games are costing.

This game just needs some polish in the rough areas (graphics, some game mechanics) other than that they're fine.

*That's a really subjective metric to be honest. It depends on economic and political views.*

That's not subjective, it's a question that I asked based on everything that has so far happened.

The FTC has lost the case and lost the appeal, the FTC has been brought to court and asked why are they persusing a case that is irrelevant, every country has approved the deal, even the CMA's concern wasn't the actual merger, and the FTC are stil...

Funny how MS taking over ABK isnt everything, but fanboys like to pretend it is because it isn't their favorite company doing it.

The FTC isn't doing their job or this wouldn't actually be happening now. Every country has approved this merger, the FTC has lost its case and it's appeal and has been dragged in court asking why do they continue to fight something that is a none issue.

MS acquiring ABK would not be a Monopoly. It's absolut...

We don't know how long their contracts were for or if they were ending this month... and this shouldn't even be an excuse or concern anyways.

These people are getting laid off with no severance right before the holidays. Not to mention it is really bad right now in the gaming and tech industry for employment.

993d ago 1 agree4 disagreeView comment

Well, the article doesn't mention any of that so yes, if you don't extend the contract then you are laying off your contractors.

Amy Henning? What does she have to do with actual video game development and release?

Could she have released Factions any sooner?

993d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

These are still developers who are now unemployed regardless of whether they were permanent or contractors.

Nothing is misleading about the title.

That's wild because I remember watching the trailer to Hyenas and letting out a bold typed MEH

Pete, you are absolutely right, unfortunately you are literally arguing with people that hate Xbox and on top of that, have no idea how the business world works and the entirety of their argument is "MS is evil". They see one letter of intent with hypothetical purchase possibilities (that never came true) and they go wild with the "MS is a monopoly" comments.

They would probably be in utter shock if they knew that Sony, Embracer, Tencent, and anyone else...

The problem is this echo chamber of a select few on this site. They have convinced themselves that everything MS does is to destroy gaming so every decision MS makes is some nefarious 80's cartoon villain plot. The problem is they never realize that a lot, if not most decisions from MS are industry based decisions, meaning this is where the whole industry is heading. Some are stuck in this past nostalgic form of gaming, so when they see these changes they spend their time working themselv...

Are we paraphrasing a quote out of context based on a projected number from separate MS department?

NMS wasn't fully playable and was actually buggy and had crash issues on launch as well.

I do agree with NMS rolling out free updates as opposed to paid DLC but NMS did show off a lot of gameplay before launch that was not in the game in the beginning.

That said, my point still stands that both devs deserve props for not abandoning their games and improving them over time. How they went about this as you detailed was not my point at all.

These guys just can't take the L and will continue to beat this dead horse into the ground, even after that embarrassing trial with Lena Khan

Curious, so when does it become a waste of tax payers money?

998d ago 8 agree24 disagreeView comment

Props to any developer that sticks with a game and makes it better years after launch. They could have took their beatings and moved on but they kept at it. I'll definitely give this game and No Man's Sky the props they definitely deserve just for that.
