Almost all the upcoming games on PS3 and 360...
Yeah, it looks great, but i think they should`ve shown more gameplay by now. Hope TGS will finally make our fantasies come true ;)
I think it`s supposed to be out in 2009, but it can quickly become 2010++, with the time SE is taking.
True, i get what you`re saying, but it seems you have to pay a lot for a third party exclusive that will actually stay for a while, and i guess Sony will keep on focusing on first party games because they know they`re permanent. Hardly any third party games stay exclusive anymore, and even MGS4 could end up on 360 at some point.
I do think it`s a bit sad though, as i also think FF13 would`ve been better off as a PS3 exclusive, but luckily SE isn`t EA and i think both versions wil...
With SE renaming the White Engine to the Crystal tools and saying it would now support the 360, PC and even Wii for some time ago.

But i`m kind of shocked yet. It`s great for Microsoft obviously, but i would still say Sony has the advantage with Versus being exclusive and only a japanese release for the PS3 version, if the info i gathered so far...
Hope they`ve made some improvements to framerate drops within their game-engine since Oblivion too (with such an open world and so many things to do, it`s near impossible to have none, but...)
I think RF2 was one of the best multiplayer games on PS2 (i actually liked it better than Time Splitters 2), so hope the same goes for RF3.
I would`ve preferred it as a FPS because of the aiming, but 3rd person games have gotten better recently (MGS4 etc), so i think it will be fine in the end.
And i thought Sony`s E3 2006 conference was bad, Jamie Kennedy set an all time standard for horrible shows.
I agree with you, it`s the combination of realism and fiction that makes MGS-games so compelling story wise. You know it`s fake, but it feels like something that could`ve happen.
I must say that MGS4 was a disappointment in terms of story. Probably mostly because of the whole Patriots thing, which was a hard mess for Kojima to get out of. I do think people should be allowed to be critical of turns in the story and when Kojima takes things too far as well. As the AI running socie...
First i heard about Burnout including planes, now Forza is going for helicopters ? What`s next... Spaceships in GT5 ?? ;)
Wish they had someone else than Mark Wahlberg for Max Pain though. David Boreanaz looks more like him, but i`m not sure if he`s good enough as an actor ;)
Looking forward to seeing more at E3 soon (hopefully).
Hehe ok, i see. Well, i think more people agree with you than me.
I just found the whole Patriot`s idea weak and didn`t care for Snake`s outcome as much as i did in previous games. MGS1 is my favorite one, followed by MGS3, because i think the story was more entertaining. That MGS4 plays so much on MGS1, just shows it`s the best of them i think. Don`t gt me wrong seeing Psycho Mantis again was great, but MGS4 lacks such moments alone, if that makes sense ;)
But i`m sure it will be better than that. If it get`s medias attention over the ridiculous story etc, i can see it racking up some decent sales too, even if the game`s average. Probably what they`re shooting for anyway.
But a bit too repetitive i think.
I would love to play it on PS3, because D3 seemed very good. Games like Baldur`s Gate: Dark Alliance and it`s sequel was very fun on the PS2 (if a bit repetitive at times), so they don`t need M and K, even though it would be appreciated, since Diablo has more spells etc than Dark Alliance.
I can try MGS4 with rumble. Wonder if that will make it even better ;)
Here`s a summary :
10. Iron out the glitches : Among a long list are Edward uncontrollably gyrating on the spot, items going missing, objects in the environments becoming half stuck and jumping around, a fire that caused the frame rate to dive to single digits and items that refuse to be picked up until you've picked up all the others around it.
9. Presentation tweaks : suffers from an erratic frame rate and plenty of screen tearing.
8. Pick up and ins...
If the PS3 version is any good, i`ll pick it up this year though, it seems very interesting.
Well, SE also made FF7: Advent Children after FF: the Spirit`s Within, so i don`t see how that proves a MGS film in CGI wouldn`t work.
I`m not sure how easy it would be to make a MGS-movie in live action and making it believable enough. I think the saga fits more in a CGI environment, because of all the crazy bosses and anime style. Finding an actor to play Snake with his likeness and voice would also be hard, if not near impossible, and considering how important the character of...
The game looks very good, i loved seeing him just standing there and gazing at all the ships flying by, great scale. Guess the Resistance team must like Cloverfield, Godzilla and Independence day too ;)
The Q&A was very funny though, the interviewers certainly tried though hehe ;)
