That and MGS4 of course ;)
I think Sony is better at taking chances at new games that Microsoft or Nintendo. I don`t mean to say sequels are bad, and i don`t judge a game by the number behind it (after all i`m looking forward to MGS4), as long as they improve on the previous ones.
But Sony with games like:
- Loco Rocco
- ICO
- Shadow of the Colossus
- LBP
- Linger in the Shadows (if that can be called a game ??)
And now Afri...
Hehe yeah that`s true. I think the could`ve filled up any top 10 or 20 list of horrible games, regardless of platforms also. They seem to give you less of visual pleasure, but with more (and often gameplay disturbing) framrate issues.
Just think how Fallout 3 would have looked or played if EA was behind it. Ohh the horror ;)
"...just like they did with Metal Gear and Final Fantasy. "
Funny, i though Konami and Square-Enix made those titles.
And yeah, i guess titles dosn`t get delayed or canceled for other platforms either ;)
It will look great and run smooth, and isn`t that the most important thing ? As long as the framerate is a stable 30fps, it`s better than an unstable 60fps with frequent framerate drops.
The game has 8 player co-op and 60 players online, which will be a great accomplishment if they get it to run smooth, with the graphics we saw in the teaser. A resolution or fps isn`t the make or break of a game, and just some of the pieces of the puzzle to make it look and play great. Last i che...
To see them cancel such a big project like The Getaway, was a bit surprising for me. Guess one could say the same for 8 days which i personally was more interested in, but it didn`t have games before it which sold millions.
With the lack of info about the two titles, it might not be such a shock, but i just though we would get to finally see more of them at E3. Too bad, 8 days seemed cool, and even though the previous Getaway games wasn`t the best, if would be nice to see what...
Hehe don`t worry, i already got LBP on my list too :)
Edit: Yeah, but i don`t think reminding people of LBP is a bad thing. Game looks to be anything but little. Except for the cuddly charcters that is ;)
Don`t worry i already have, and i`ll be making room for LBP as well. Can`t only own shooters, although who knows what they`ll put in LBP eventually ;)
Not so long until we get to see something from the singleplayer of R2 either. That in itself will be a great reason to won a PS3 this year and more to come.
It sounds sarcastic because Bioshock has some much water in it. By the sound of it, this could turn until a watered up port if anything ;)
Ohh and by the way, you`re the fugly one ;)
I`ll be picking up a PS3 in about 9 days. I won`t say why, except it`s for an AAA title, regardless of what some others might think ;)
I`ll be sure to pick up Bioshock too, if they pull off a good port, which it sounds like they will :)
I would, but the 80 gig version won`t be out in Europe. I guess i could import it, but i do want to play MGS4 the day it`s out ;)
Psycho Mantis would be my favorite, how can you top having to switch memory ports ?
The End, Ninja battle (most because he was so scary and so damn cool), the Hind battle with Liquid, and the Shagohad was also very good.
I love MGS-games, but why pick the weakest of them (and the most confusing). It would also make more sense to start with either MGS1 or perhaps MGS3. I think MGS3 could be cool too see. It will be interesting to see where in the timeline the upcomming movie will be.
God of War, yes please. Diablo would be cool too, but not too much CGI. Half-life, why not.
But i heard it was really good, which i see is confirmed by a lot of the comments here too hehe ;)
If the game can be pretty close to this visually, it will be a great looking game, and i hope the gameplay will match. If it does,i`ll pick it up.
Don`t know why people was complaining about the graphics of NG2 ? Looks very good and smooth to me, with good effects too. The Camera seemed alright, even though i`m sure it could be frustrating at some points in the game. The same could`ve been said for a lot of games in the same genre though.
Yeah, i agree with that. Sony do deserve criticism for some of their promises. I still dosn`t like the fact that Sony used CGI trailers for their games, Motorstorm did not live up to it, and even though Killzone actually looks almost as good as that trailer now, i really hope they dosn`t pull a stunt like that again.
Both sides have stuff the havn`t delivered on though, but all the Sony bashing from Microsoft lately just shows that they`re getting more desperate by the minute.
It`s the best trailer i`ve ever seen for a game (even better than the faked Killzone 2 one for me).
With that said, MGS2 ended up being the "worst" game of the series (worst is probably a bad word as there isn`t any bad MGS games at all really). I really wanted to play the section where the water chased Snake, but Kojima didn`t feel it lived up for his standards so...
Even with the stylish cut-scenes of Metal Gear, i think a 90 min cut-scene could`ve been stretching it too for. I`m sure Kojima could`ve managed to make it cool though, but a 90 min cut-scene is a lot for any game to pull off without it getting boring.
Some interactivity is going to be in MGS4`s cut-scenes like in MGS3 if i`m not mistaken, to give different angles and trigger other stuff like Snake`s memories etc, so you couldn`t be entirely still during them, even if there was i...
I love how MGS show a more human nature of the enemies than other games. One guy complains about the cold weather, Johnny has to run to the toilet (not in this video but...) This video just shows how great MGS1 was (and still is) for it`s time and beyond. Not many games can make you think like the MGS games, and while that may sound strange to some who hasn`t played the game themselves (why think, when a game should just be fun, right ?), it just makes the game extra special for me.

But i guess the joy of seeing Abe again will make up for it ;)
The Oddworld games really had a charm of their own, reading this made me want to play the old ones again.
Thursday seems so far away now...
As long as those people don`t give away any spoilers, i say enjoy the masterpiece that i`m sure MGS4 is.
