The government attempting or threatening to create new laws like this will only make more and more guns sell, thus increasing the amount of guns civilians own. It will be hell trying to take away their guns if a ban does go into effect. You can be sure there will be retaliation by law-abiding citizens who's government attempts to seize their guns. That's why it will never happen. THIS is the way the people who founded America intended. Civilians are in control, not the government.
Are you serious? I was in the belief that they were gone a LONG time ago... I remember an article saying they were going down May 31, just researched now and it seems I missed this article.

So are the servers going back online then?
Excuse me for crashing the party, but who actually believes a console could run anything but a movie at 4k resolution when they struggle to run sub-HD games? Even mid-high grade PC's struggle to run 4k resolution.
Eyefinity and NVIDIA Surround are examples of 4k resolution (sometimes higher) and you need a pretty good PC with lots of video memory to run it. I doubt next-gen consoles will have more than 1GB of memory. If that's the case, 4k resolution will not be poss...
Ironically there is currently an ad on my N4G page advertising WarZ as the "number one zombie MMO in the world" lmao
If anything consoles use/will use memory clocked at a lower speed than desktop computers using so called "over-the-counter memory" e.g. Corsair Vengeance, Kingston Hyper X, both high quality RAM. Desktop memory is miles better, and can be overclocked as well.
Memory can generate a lot of heat too if it's running at high MHz.
It would be best to buy a PC over both an Xbox 360 and PS3 as these two console life cycles are almost over, and they will most likely drop in price once next gen consoles come out.
If I'm not mistaken, doesn't Sony use OpenGL? Would Sony switch to DirectX, a Microsoft specific API?
Steam doesn't need the service as they already have 10x the value of Playstation Plus.
For the autumn sale I purchased about 20 games (a couple being very big AAA games such as The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings and Batman: Arkham City - Game of the Year Edition) for a little more than $60. On top of that, I can continue playing them and not have to spend another $60 next year to renew a subscription ;)
I know there are Nintendo haters who take advantage of every possible bit of bad news about the Wii U (yes, there's been a lot of bad news lately) but I have to admit it's pretty horrible there's play limits on demos. This is a great example of why I don't think too highly of closed platforms.
Do you really think PC gamers care about a couple of console games like RDR that never made their way to PC? Sure they do, luckily a lot of them own a console (hopefully an Xbox 360 so they don't get the shaft on multiplats).
RDR would also be miles better on the PC. A great example of this is Dark Souls. The game was never coming to PC. PC gamers petitioned and got Namco Bandai to tap into the golden Steam market. PC gamers are constantly treated as first class, along wi...
I remember thinking it was going to be terrible going by the very first gameplay shown, and now it turned out to be the Skyrim of shooters in 2012.
Excellent!
Honestly who would know anything about a last generation console?
Joking lol...
The 360 could always play MGS4, which contrary to popular belief isn't really that demanding of a game. It's all about optimization.
Skyrim flawless on the PS3? Umm...
That "PC gaming is dying" was just hyperbole to get hits. Anyone who thinks a superior gaming platform which is constantly having amazing deals on games and is cheaper in the long run is dying doesn't know what they're talking about.
That's why I love Steam. You don't have to pay for any service, especially in order to get good deals and F2P games. Sales are way better than Playstation Plus or Xbox Live as well. So I think in general paid console services have become a huge ripoff.
Only a little?
I disagree with everyone saying this article is dumb. The PC is factually better than consoles. Whether or not you can afford to play on the PC or whether it's more convenient to own a console over a PC is completely subjective. It's not subjective that PC offers way more than consoles do.
Planetside 2 for example is better than many if not all AAA Xbox 360 and PS3 FPS and yet it's F2P. I do agree that you should own a console to play console games. I own a PS3 fo...
At this point I don't think Microsoft cares.
Just like the original Xbox, I'm sure the Xbox 360 will have support dropped immediately following the announcement of the Xbox 720 at E3.
