Why won't these rumors die? Why can't some games stay exclusive? I'm a 360 owner and I recognize that the game was designed with the PS3 hardware in mind and the Blu-ray drive; it is made for a certain system in mind and should stay that way.
*Sighs* Didn't companies learn that some series shouldn't crossover into the fighting game genre. Considering the Castlevania series cannon stretches over hundreds of years having protagonists from the various titles fighting in this game don't make any sense.
Also Alucard doesn't look right at all.

That comment seems a little rash, don't you? What does not affording something have to do with standards? The console is still a little too much for the average consumer and that is that.
with the way the current console market is right now and where it seems that the next gen consoles seems to be already decided; Sega coming back on the scene is very unlikely. As heartbreaking as that is, there is no place right now for a forth machine.

I hear you guy... and I'm sure that there are a ton of people who invested in the Wii probably feel the same way as you do. Of course, I would consider a purchase if it can do something like upscaling to the older games as well as some newer titles.

Well it is really tough to state that a certain game can be done on the predecessor system when the quality of the video is rather low, so saying it (Fable 2) can be done on the original Xbox might be a tad bit rash. Perhaps there are things that we haven't seen yet in the game that truly show that it is next gen. But then again that is just one man's opinion.

It needs a tad bit more evidence about the decline; after all, every format goes through ups and downs. I think, like a good number here, once the blockbuster films come in, the format will pick up briskly. I myself will wait, as I do not own a HDTV and having a high def machine hooked into a standard def is fairly dumb (you just have a more expensive DVD).

While they might get a lot of sales once the machine goes to a realistic price (you something that the rest of can really afford) I know I'll be a customer. Will it be for a blu-ray player? Nope, I still love DVD and thought it didn't make any real difference in the picture quality and I did watch it on a HDTV.

I am a PS2 owner and yes he is right that all they have to do is convert the PS2 owners to PS3 owners but for me right now, it isn't happening. While I love the PS3 and some of it's games I simply do not have the means to afford this console. I dove into the PS2 waters when it went down to $180. I'm waiting on World Tour rather then Aerosmith; love the band but what they got going on with the upcoming GH game I feel it would be a waste of my time to pick up this one. Fine game, I tried it out but when you hear about DLC and more character customization in World Tour... well you get the idea.
I also noticed that the colors are much more saturated and even though the camera's focus isn't that sharp I did notice the slightly better details. If sony can keep up what they doing and having the price at a good level like they are, even I might end up saving up and buying one.
