How much of a difference does blu-ray have on a 19" 720p TV? I usually don't have a lot money so I can't buy expensive entertainment rigs and my place isn't really big enough to have the space for it anyhow.
Sometime in the future I'll probably have blu-ray but right now with my current expenses not really going to happen.

Sony would retire the Playstation 3 next year as they are really having a lot of momentum right now and unless something rather drastic where to occur that could be construed as a business version of 'an act of God' then I wouldn't hold my breath.
It seems more and more these days with the worldwide economic problems that the vultures gather around the bodies that aren't dead yet. Sony is nowhere near dead and while the times are hard, they are doing fine. The PS3 is really picking up momentum now and their other divisions are doing fairly well too.

2008 was definitely Sony's year for sure as a lot of really big games came out, the console actually started really moving and Blu-ray is finally showing it's retail muscle. After the rather embarrassing launch of the PS3, we see that Sony still has plenty of sway in the market.

It's really great but there is only one problem; the nearest Blockbuster Video is like around 4 hours away. I live in Northern Maine, which is like a really rural area; we got Movie Gallery. Right now, I don't even use Netflix (anymore anyhow).
We as a people want a deal so badly that we take away all the value of our neighbors safety. This a fine example of the fact that our rather violent tendencies have nothing to do with Video gaming.

It may be old now but I still love firing up my PS2; even amongst this day and ago of High Def and blu-ray. If I had to give up my 360, I wouldn't be too bad off as long as I still have my PS2. After all, I can't up and leave it (there are quite a few titles I still have yet to find and play).
Interesting arguments all around; even though I have a 360 and had a few months of gold, I downgraded to silver. Yeah I don't get to play against other people online but then again I didn't get a chance to really do it that much. It's not going to happen, a FF7 remake that is; they would have been hyping the heck out of the game. As much as I would LOVE to see it happen, it's not and we should live with the fact that we still have a trillion copies of the PS1 version floating around (still very playable on PS2 and PS3).
I think that Sony could have handled the delay better by really checking the music a little better and not allowing it before and the game itself would not have been delayed at all.
I just finished reading the article and could have toasted marshmallows with the amount of flames in the comments section. With that many flames I would call it more like an inferno and I don't blame them; the author really is full of crap. I didn't experience any of the problems and the 'screen adjustment' complaint, I didn't need to adjust it for my TV sooooooooo.

Yeah a 3d game can be done, but not a fighting game; I just think that some games should remain in a certain genre be it 2d or 3d.
No seriously though, it looks really really good. In fact, it has cemented my choice to buy this title. I don't have a lot of money to buy many new release titles and this has been on my list for a while now.

I am not even going to give it a shot; not one rent. Some games of a certain genre (or type) should never crossover into other genres. Making a 2D action/adventure game into a 3D fighting game is just ludicrous.
