"I think Red Steel 2 trailer is 10 times better than than Red Steel 1 trailer."
In what way are they that different? Other than the trailers for the first actually having the courtesy to not feature non-gameplay game footage, I mean.
If one looks at the 33 second mark, the implication of Red Steel 2's trailer is that there will be moments where the player is fighting from a reversed third-person perspective while the camera rotates around the character ...
"wii is the first system where they want to show the people playing the game because it's more then them sitting like zombies twiddling their thumbs."
True. And there's also the part where it helps to make the game look not boring.
'Look' being the operative word.
Is anyone else feeling a sense of deja vu?

"Cell shaded"
This is a minor pet peeve of mine. It's cel-shading -- cell shading would imply that the animation is being shaded in prison or by simple, microscopic lifeforms.
"You act like the PS2 and the Wii are synonymous."
If this is in reference to my own post, I think you misunderstand: I'm acting like MadWorld and God Hand are synonymous, or more accurately, highly analogous in terms of gameplay, genre, and design such that they appeal to much of the same audience. Neither one of them did well, *despite* being on different systems.

"Lets see if he says the same thing when the game sells as many as Madworld"
Um, why would this game sell in numbers similar to MadWorld? Aside from being rated M, how does the gameplay of a rail shooter even remotely resemble that of a brawler?
"Madworld's black-n-whiteness has little to do with its poor sales and everything to do with the Wii's demographic."
If that were true, MadWorld would have done better when it was calle...
"Has there even been one successful 3rd party hardcore title"
Well, the answer to that of course depends on how one chooses to define the word 'hardcore'. Are you referring to whether a game is difficult or M-rated?
If so, Resident Evil 4 or the House of the Dead 2/3 were both pretty successful. If one wishes to discount ports for whatever reason, No More Heroes is the closest thing there will ever be to a Kill Bill game and Resident Evil: Umbrella Chr...
Ah, thanks. I live in the US so I guess it'll be another two-months for me. Fortunately, from the sounds of things, the game seems worth the wait.
It seems like it's been forever since I first heard of this game. If it's getting reviews, that means it's coming out soon, right?
"Exactly, indirectly it benefits them"
I'm not really certain I'd use the word 'indirectly' in that instance, as many Wii developers and publishers, first-, second-, or even third-party in nature are making substantial profits off the system as well.
"but that's WAY beyond the point and as a gamer I don't give a flying f***, I only care about games."
Um, and? As I stressed before, this is beyond the point, but if you really want...
"Good for Nintendo Stockholders."
Well, it's also good for developers, distributors, and marketers too, but that's beyond the point.
"I'm not one."
Who said you were? I'm simply trying to understand what precisely artgamer is getting at with the reap-what-you-sow idiom. Is he implying that Nintendo is somehow unhappy with its current circumstances?
"you reap what you sow."
Er, like millions and millions of dollars?
"actually seferoth a recent study found that the average play time across all consoles resulted in this
1. xbox360
2.ps3
3.wii"
Actually, if I recall correctly, Nielsen, the group that did that study, said that that was an error and issued a correction a day or so later.

Well, that's nice to hear. Kinda psyched about this game.
"What guys?"
The guys -- sorry, the *people* who post articles and write comments about how shovelware and mini-game collections are going to doom the industry or some such nonsense.

I'd just like to add a couple things to Nugan's post:
Review-wise, Killer7 scored 74 on Metacritic for the Gamecube and 70 on the PS2.

For comparison purposes, Tenchu and Tomb Raider both got 70s. ...
Wait a second, people are saying it's a *bad* thing that something like Deca Sports 2 is not moving more units?
Um, correct me if I'm wrong, but don't the Deca Sports games represent everything that you guys are supposed to hate?
"Madworld is doing just as well as God Hand did isn't it? or better?"
I'm not really a big fan of VG Chartz, but if you believe them (grain of salt and all that)), MadWorld's already sold more than twice the number of copies that God Hand did in its entire lifetime.
That said, I always look forward to the Gamasutra analysis of the NPD. Even if it's not perfect, it's still a breath of fresh air and rationality.
Er, did you actually read the article? The author says he likes what’s coming out on the Wii.
Er, even if we accept that timed exclusivity is some kind of grievous, unforgiveable insult, it's kind of an exaggeration to say Sony's giving the finger to 64 million gamers, as I doubt even one-tenth of those people are actually interested in the game in question.
