Nah. It's most likely like what @jaycptza said. It's all based on potential revenue. Square Enix games (specifically Final Fantasy) has always sold significantly less on Xbox. Square is just going off of their sales history and made decisions based on that.

If I remember correctly, 13 (The Lightning Chronicles as I like to call them) sold significantly less on Xbox and PC than on PlayStation. Roughly the same with 15 (though I could only find total sales numbers and mention of how many copies sold on the PS4).

There's always that potential but until Square says otherwise, for now it's exclusive to PlayStation.

Final Fantasy has always sold better on the PlayStation.

@SamPao The reason why 14 was never on Xbox was because at the time of negotiation with Microsoft, Microsoft didn't support crossplay and that the game on Xbox would require their own servers. Yoshida didn't want that as he wanted everyone on any platform to be able to play together. Apparently Microsoft hasn't changed that policy so until it changes, the game will never come to the Xbox.

Because for some stupid reason, it's always only the Rocksteady developed game.

I subbed for Forza, Sea of Thieves, and Crackdown. If they added the 360 games for PC, I'd sub again just for Fable 2.

They are. They said that they'll self publish all future titles, and I think it was NetEase who invested in a new IP from Bungie.

As much as I would love sequels to God Hand, Rival Schools, and Asura's Wrath I don't think they sold well enough to warrant sequels in Capcom's eyes. Breath of Fire on the other hand could potentially come back, but for the time being has been regulated to mobile.

Deep Down has most likely been canned. As for Tekken X Street Fighter, that's on Bandai Namco to deliver.

Pretty sure Bungie is enjoying their independence as a studio and not having to answer to a publisher and making mechanics for said publisher to monetize the hell out of a game.

Just throw him in every game.

I think that they're combining both the Xbox One and PC services. If memory serves me correctly, not all games in the Game Pass are available on the PC like they are with the Xbox One (at least when I subbed to it). They're most likely changing it so that ALL games will be available across both platforms.

Same. I get constant frame dips while playing on PS4 but on PC I get 60 with dips every now and then.

Probably since there's a ban wave every few months or so, especially on PC.

@arkard So, buying up exclusives instead of spending their millions to make ACTUAL games to entice people to use their store instead of forcing them to is now considered competition?

2589d ago 5 agree6 disagreeView comment

Well, Epic Games is privately traded and look at what they're doing to the PC gaming space.

Doubt it. Companies like EA and Activison will just find another avenue for nickle and diming customers.

Things could change. It could be Epic Store timed exclusive. Epic's done it already with a few games. Recently announced as being on Steam, then months later becomes an Epic Store exclusive.

Actually, it was an original IP called Black Lotus. Only after it was picked up by Activision was when it was renamed to True Crime Hong Kong because Activision thought branding would help the game gain traction. Then Activision didn't see the game making money and dropped it so Square Enix picked it up and it was United Front (the developers) that decided to change it to Sleeping Dogs.
