If you had a Redbox you could've gotten it for around $25. But then it would have probably been in okay condition.
So, they went from making arguably some of the best racing sims to licensed crap? Okay then.
Played the game for a few hours and enjoying it so far. Kinda reminds me of Kotor in ways.
When did that happen? I know they had a policy in place years ago where if you signed to release a product on Steam, you're obligated to do so even if you release said product on another platform earlier. Either way, it is a great move by Valve.
Exactly. Everything they showed could have just been an expansion. Nothing about it warrants a new full priced game. Story mode, co-op missions, and a perk system. All of that could have easily been add-on content, but Activsion Blizzard gotta get them sheep somehow.
This is basically how it's done. These system developers don't have all the time in the world to play every single game through to completion before it releases on their systems. Someone most likely plays it at bare minimum to see if the game meets said system developer's guidelines. It's near impossible to police every single game that goes through their system.
Yep, Yuke's left roughly midway through development to start their own ventures and took the source code with them. Visual Concepts quickly put together whatever they could using the codes they had from previous games. It was a shitty situation that ended in a bad game. Game should have honestly been delayed but Take Two gotta make their quarterlies somehow.
Pretty much. I don't understand why people still support Bethesda and this game after all the fuck ups it's had. Sure it's their money and they can do whatever they want with it, but it's just setting the precedent that you can make a bad, horribly broken game, making broken promises, straight up lying to the consumers and people will buy it leading to companies not giving a shit about making quality games anymore because they can just churn out crap every year and it will sel...
Hope you have some sorta backup cuz what if your internet cuts out or there's an outage in your area? No Stadia gaming for you. Those are the two major factors as to why I will never support game streaming services like these. I'd rather be able to play my games whenever I want and not have to rely on a stable internet connection just to be able to play.
Took them a long time though I've never had any major issues with this game even on my current system.
They will sell units and do whatever it takes to stay relevant. They've done it before and are currently doing it with Xbox One. They will promote Game Pass up the arse and the average consumers will see it as a great deal. Hundreds of games every month for like $10? What mother wouldn't choose that over spending $60 or more on a single game? They'll be like, "$10 and my kids will have a bunch of games to play." Like or hate Microsoft, that IS a smart business strategy. ...
Well, I believe they are owned by Tencent so yeah, they gotta do whatever Tencent wants or get dropped all together. I'm pretty sure Riot doesn't want to lose billions from all those Chinese investors.
Next Xbox will succeed because of Game Pass. Will it sell better than PS5? Who knows. It's gonna be interesting.
Wasn't this game complete trash when it was released on PC?
Agreed. The art style is off putting to me and the game seems a little slow. Other than that, the game seems like a good one.
That they are but from a business standpoint, it makes sense. Bigger install base that includes the majority of your target audience means potentially more money. Give them an incentive to purchase on the console with the bigger install base. I believe they did a similar thing on Xbox last gen. Again, it's just history repeating itself. Microsoft did it last gen, Sony is doing it this gen. The market leader will always do these kinds of things because they can and companies like Activisio...
I'm a Sony fanboy, don't have an Xbox and don't really care for the CoD franchise but even I can see that this is a dumb deal. Why exclude a feature from a good chunk of your player base for an entire year (when most likely after the year is up, the next game is already out)? Money sure, but excluding potentially 2/3 of your player base is pretty much a big fuck you to those customers.
Yeah, kinda wish they went with something different but it's the classic box art, just with the update graphics.
I'm all for them going multi-platform with their games but I have a feeling all of their PC versions will be Epic Store timed exclusives.
This isn't anything new for them. They've been using face models for RE since 4 I believe. Maybe even before that.
