And people forget or right out choose to ignore the fact that Sony supports more cross-play games than Microsoft and Nintendo do.
I wanted to get this on PC but it's an indefinite Epic Store exclusive. So, no thanks.
So they're charging roughly $4 for a color swap now and it's only for one color? Friggin Warframe gives you roughly 90 different colors for the same amount of money.
The difference between this and the Gameshark was that the Gameshark came packaged with a ton of cheats for a large amount of games. Plus, you could add codes to specific games yourself FOR FREE. This is a one time payment for ONE game, unlike the Gameshark (and products similar to it) where it was a one time payment for use with practically every game on the system you bought it for. Though I understand what you're saying. If people wanna cheat let them cheat as long as it doesn't ef...
The majority of Epic's earnings comes from licensing Unreal anyway and they're still making bank from Fortnite. They can afford it.
One thing that I find hilarious is that during their live streams before release, it was shown (briefly) that there are a ton of different cosmetic pieces for a javelin. Pretty sure they were final too. It's in the game, pretty sure they function as intended but NONE of them are in the game upon release. Makes no damn sense. Corporate greed aside, why in the blue hell would you withhold completed content from a game?
Because it's cheaper to hire a mocap actor who also does the VO.
How about instead of Epic buying up timed exclusives (a thing Microsoft used to do). why don't they spend those billions they've made off of the Unreal Engines and Fornite to I don't know, make some exclusive games?
I would say that Borderlands 2 is still the best looter shooter out there, but Destiny isn't that bad.
The game isn't bad nor is it great. It's servicable at best. Gameplay is great, graphics are amazing, and the looting is pretty standard. But everything else just feels subpar especially something from Bioware who we all know are capable of so much more. To me the game is a disappointment. I hate the stupid, "The game will get better as it goes along" excuse people and developers keep using nowadays. The game should be good or great Day 1, not into the future.
It is solely a PvE experience for now. Bioware said they will look into PvP, so boosting shouldn't really even be an issue seeing as how it's a PvE game atm.
I Platinumed the game in a month. Didn't get the email. Oh well.
Yeah. The UI feels archaic in a way. Can't really put my hand on it but there's something off about it. I was fine with finding out objectives on my own but it would be nice to have an option where you can keep them on at all times or they are always marked on the compass. Or add a custom waypoint system like nearly every game has nowadays. Also could add party member markers on the compass. Can't tell how many time I went exploring on my own and couldn't find my teammates aft...
What's funny is that there's an unofficial patch that scales the UI correctly for 21:9. There's also an unofficial patch that does the same for Skyrim and Fallout 4. So it can be done in the Creation Engine. Bethesda's just too damn lazy to figure out how to do it.
On how NOT to make a good game, how to recycle even more content, and how to nickel and dime people even more? Yep.
And still you're missing out on content if you don't get the annual pass. For shame Activision.
It's a shallow, money grubbing loot grinder. No substance at all. This coming from a guy who stuck it out with the first game and actually enjoyed it at one point. The second game is just riddled with broken promises after broken promises with an incompetent developer whose major excuse seems to still be, "We're listening."
I don't think that Bungie is going to make any single player story driven games soon because they partnered with NetEase for their next IP. Plus, they have a couple of more years with the Destiny IP and the state of D2 is still bleh AND they've already started development on D3. So yeah, hopes of a great game by them that isn't muddled by microtransaction crap isn't going to happen or might ever happen again from Bungie.
Looked at the title and was confused because I'm pretty sure the game has a single player mode already (at least on PC). Then they updated the article saying it's a separate single player Conan game in development.
Yeah, watching them playing it was boring but I've put so many hours into the Borderlands series and it's WAY more fun playing the game than watching it.
