You are also making it sound like Multi-platform games perform the same has exclusives. The best part of an exclusive is that the developers is solely putting their hearts into it and not worrying about 3 other platforms that they would need to put it on if it was multi-platform. The best games we get are usually exclusives games. Then you have Sony and Nintendo helping fund certain projects so those projects can actually be seen by gamers. People make it sound like it is so simple to just si...
@Spreadlove
You are right but of course, that is commone sense since well, multi-platform games are on well most platforms lol
Exclusives are what people talk about and what video game websites talk about. Do we have to tell you how many articles there are about Spiderman, TLOU, Zelda, Horizon Zero Dawn, Mario, Days Gone and etc... They all have one thing in common, they are all exclusives.
The biggest games to come out within the last year or two have all been exclusives big exclusives. They may not garner as much money but they garner TONS of free marketing and advertising from us and video game websites. There is a reason that 99% of MS articles were about the Xbox one X and not about games. Imagine if the Xbox One X wasn't a thing... MS wouldn't have a thing for almost a year for it's gamers.
As of right now, Horizon is GG's best selling game to date. Of course, this doesn't count digital sales but assuming Ps4 would have more people downloading compared to the PS3 and of course, the PS2 (Killzone 1) lol
You know that is PR talk, of course, developers can expand on the idea. Days Gone looks like they will expand on that idea, hopefully. Almost all the Far Cry games have that concept with random events happening. It is the same concept, just depends. Also, MGS V has the same concept, depending when you attack the base, night, day, raining outside, the AI will act differently. Once again the ideas I said are small things in a game. I hope Days Gone will expand on that concept. I want everyone t...
@BLKxSEPTEMBER
Incorrect and you still haven't said anything to prove your point.
On a side note, "just automatically fall in love with anything exclusive to playstation." The opposite isn't the right thing to do either. I know you said you like Horizon but once again Horizon isn't an original idea either. That was your main gripe with Days Gone. You see where I am coming from now?
If you are looking for an open world game and the ability to ride a motorcycle you will NOT be playing The Last Of Us 2 lol
That is exactly why, the developer's last game for a console was for the PS2. I personally never played Syphon Filter so I can't say anything about it but this is their first new IP in a very long time. That is why it maybe a surprise hit.
The reason for the down votes is because you don't say why on anything. Why did Horizon bring you in? Why did Days Gone look unoriginal to you. I never seen a game in this genre similar to Days Gone. I mean it isn't drastically different but Horizon wasn't drastically different either, it just did a lot of things right but we didn't know until we actually played the game.
Everything about it so far I loved. I am not a big fan of zombies, clickers, freakers, etc. A good game is a good game. I just want to see more combat in the game. They showed very little of the shooting and that did not look great.
Killzone 2 was their first masterpiece! I miss that game so much SP and MP!
Once again you can't use your opinion on arguments because they are solely your opinion and only yours. Also, all 3 of those games should be getting a reward. The fact we are even talking about Horizon (A new IP) to the great franchises of Zelda and Mario. Odyssey is on a different level since that game is way better than so many that came before it. Zelda on the other hand, it isn't even the best Zelda game. If I am looking for a great story, I am not going to be getting Zelda or Mar...
Those are the only 2 games I want too, I just want a sale of the Switch with those two games lol
I hated that system in Far Cry 2, but once you started earning some real money eventually you just go to the armory and get brand new ones and you are all set. It was a cool dynamic worrying the first half of the game about your guns breaking. Once you have money you don't have to worry about breakage which made it tolerable in that game. The outpost are a whole different thing lol
That is one thing we see more and more often. New games coming out but since they are new IPs they will looked under a microscope and people will note the bad about it. When it comes to established IPs we may turn our head at some of things which isn't right at all. So many people say we want new IPs, when a new IP comes out it gets judged left and right.
I use to work at Best Buy, and we were told to make sure we told customers that because across the street Sears did use commission for sales.
I am assuming you didn't hear the Q&A with the developers... They did exactly what they wanted to do. They wanted people to talk about the new characters and how they fit into the story with Joel and Ellie. People are so blinded and can't think deeply enough and just see violence.
That was exactly the point though, that so many people missed. If you didn't like it that is fine, that is your opinion on it. Everyone knows Joel and Ellie, I am sure they will have a sweet trailer about them. The developers said they wanted to show new characters to make people talk about who these characters are and etc. They did exactly that. You can't fault a developer doing exactly what they intended to do and have it work as well. I am saying everyone should like it but I feel ...
You keep trying don't you! What did TLOU do to you?
Omg no! Just ask for a Ninja Gaiden game instead of wanting it in another game.
