I was saddened the day I heard that the ratings board was beng changed to make PEGI the legal standard. PEGI is an inconsistent overly self important organisation that cannot possibly rate this media appropriately across all its territories. Besides which, when I worked in a GAME store it was apparent that parents understood BBFC (and then made their own decisions); but most of the time they thought that PEGI was "about how difficult it is, like with board games."

Maybe it's the amount of vitriol it stirs up in people such as yourself?

Fun? Spectacle? Excitement? There's Uncharted, for everything else there's yume-k.

Was a good ending.

Notice the line in this trailer
Zeke: "Half as long..."
Cole: "Twice as bright"

I reckon that bulking up his powers is killing Cole, and that he knows this, but he wants to defeat the beast.

Just a thought

Several people were, I think it's the same as when maintenance is occurring; it prevented new logins.

My guess anyway.

interesting isn't it, how that small act held more weight than all the decisions in many a game that emphasizes choice.

"You turn over rubbish bins and
scrawl on walls in the name of The People, who'd clip you round the ear if they
found you doing it. But you believe."

Neatly sums up the hackers I feel.

"But here's some advice, boy. Don't put your trust in revolutions. They always come around again. That's why they're called revolutions."

Sam Vimes/John Keel, take your pick.

;)

Try doing it to the End as well, that's quite challenging.

doing that to Vulcan Raven without stealth camo is hard, took me forever. Worth it though. Mind you, defeating the Boss with a hanky is good fun, as is cartwheel killing Solidus. Oh and punching Psycho Mantis to death on extreme without changing ports.

Oxy, I believe he or she is trying, rather asininely to say that hacking those consoles benefited the people. Strange, I thought it was piracy that kept dev's away from PSP. I'm so glad I can emulate my NES on it though, so glad I could almost thank them :S

why bother when your next title still sells?

personally, I agree with you, but devs won't until people vote with their wallets.

Yup, having worked in a Game store and now in a school I can honestly say that 80% of the cohort are playing games way above heir age rating, and they're purchased by parents.

GAME do this all the time. I remember when Woolworths were selling PS2's for cheaper than trade price. Head Office phoned and got stores to use petty cash. My boss wasn't too pleased when I refused to go though ;)

You'd think Tesco's would be pleased to sell them to anyone, not so. They're loss leaders to get you in there to buy milk, eggs etc. GAME employees sent with store cash don't exactly buy many groceries while they're there. Woolworth's...

the worrying thing is that lots of people believe this type of crap.

exactly my thought when I read this.
At work I have to sign an acceptable use policy for the computer system (in a school); it actually states that ignorance is not a defense. You use the system, you better stick to the rules.

yeah because the combat in Witcher was amazing right? I love the game but come on, a combination based button system is better than click, wait, click, wait.

Watching Gameswipe is great, as is Mr Brooker, but Dara steals he show when he does his bit.

I watched this report on the news last night. Not so dangerous that the BBC didn't want a slice of the pie though eh?

The kid they got to do the report was brilliant, some kind of Dudley do Right. I work in a school and don't know any kids like that. Bet he was popular today ;)
