Having worked there for over 6 years I can tell you that the chart in GAME bears little correlation to the sales of said titles.
Try switching your mode to analogue, that helps.
I think it may be because I've played that game enough times to wear out a disc that I don't find it a problem. Mind you, it does highlight how much they improved the grab neck/throwing controls later on.

Which is your opinion that you are more than entitled to, however, I cannot share it as I still believe that MGS holds up well as an entertainingly solid product (no pun intended).
If MGS is too old to upgrade without a full remake either do one, or put it as well as MG and MG2 on the disc in their original form.

We should all care no matter who it happens to, I'm no fan of MS but if Live was hacked I'd feel the same way about the hackers as I did when PSN was attacked.
