Couldn't agree more. I hate K/D ratio's. They encourage camping, selfish play, ignoring of objectives. I've even seen players throw grenades at their own team as there are enemies near them.
I like your idea of keeping K/D for deathmatch type games though, keeps it in there for those that feel it is necessary; whilst leaving us to enjoy team based work.

Not even control wise because of move. Actually for a HHG article, the title is chosen very carefully. I believe the subtext is that it's more impressive, because it's at a level that we're not used to on Wii. If it was better then words like superior would be used.

true, graphics aren't everything, but a new engine could be built from the ground up to allow them to achieve new aspects in their game. For example, enhanced physics, destructible scenery etc.

I agree with Tmoss, the only way you're going to be served up a better game is by sending them the message that we've eaten this dish before, we want something better; and that needs to be done with your wallets.
