I would have alcohol poisoning if I play by their rules. Seriously, after playing the Nightmare of Mensis part, I refuse to play any drinking game involving Bloodborne lol.
I've remember playing the original. Man I feel old lol.
This is true with any source of entertainment. Whether it's books, movies, music, or gaming. After a while, rehashing older titles becomes the new norm. But that doesn't make it bad. As Pablo Picasso said:
"Good artists copy; great artists steal."
Innovators have the credit of making something new that was not done before. But that doesn't mean it stops there. We need to take that new discovery and constantly make it better.
If Guillermo del Toro and Norman Reedus is involved, I highly doubt they would scrap Silent Hills because of Kojima.
Why would they let them go because Kojima is not working on the project.
The real "fear" is that Silent Hills gets released and turns out to be a crappy game. That PT demo was Kojima's vision. Let's hope the final game exceeds our expectation.
It's OK to take a break from gaming, just try to make it a temporary break. I've been playing video games in the early 80's. I know very well that gaming can be expensive and time consuming.
However, there is a big upside to having a gamer lifestyle. It helps fight against mental illnesses like depression and alzheimer's. It also improves brain functions like memory and spacial navigation. It can greatly improve your life in so many ways. Just maintain a heal...
The price is a factor. But more importantly, the games that are compatible with the headset will make or break it's sales.
We all know that the best advertisement for any new gaming hardware is the games that will use it. Sony needs to follow through with that.
I have to admit, the game look really good. I'm glad game makers are maturing to make video games look prettier and tell compelling stories than some Hollywood movies.
I'll love playing this but not at the $60 price tag. Best to wait until the price goes down.....really really down.
Seriously?! Who is making these themes!? a 15 yo kid? None of them are worth paying for.
This is an opinion piece. Obviously, this list is specific to the author and not us. Personally, if I'd picked 5 in the last 10 years it would be:
Portal 2
The Last of Us
Grand Theft Auto V
BioShock
Skyrim
Such a disappointing list from the author but this is not a shock to me. A decade of gaming is a long time frame to list just 5 of the most memorable games. Just sad that none of these were not mentioned:
...
I'm sure there is more tweaks like graphic and animation upgrades to warrant making a new game but it would be nice if sports games can update the rosters without having to release another game. Even charge a small fee for it. Sort of like DLC.
It's really funny that some people are a "fan" of a piece of plastic.
BTW I'm a Sega Genesis with CD and 32X fan
:)
@reallyNow
You're correct. Hobbit is at 48fps. I think the 60fps was talked about by James Cameron which got me confused.
I bought Driveclub a couple of weeks ago and I was amazed at the visuals. Frame rate, to me, was not an issue. Also, many indie games from all platforms have some of the worst visuals but are still amazing. The whole obsession over fps numbers is getting out-of-hand.
I'm sure ND will deliver great visuals regardles...
After I saw some movies like the Hobbit at 60fps, I understand why 24fps is standard. 60fps made movies look too fake as if you can tell the actors are in a movie set and not in a fictional world.
I wonder if video games will suffer from this. I can see games like racing, sports, fighting, and FPS playing a lot better at 60fps. But if the visuals are meant to look "cinamatic," perhaps locking the frame rate at 30 is best. I rather have more graphical power dedicated...
My PS4 is randomly ejecting disc too. The only trick I know is to shut it completely off and wait 5 minutes. Works for a while but the problem eventually returns later. I'm going to try out removing the rubber footing. Hope this works. Thanks for letting me know UKmilitia.
I thought so too.
I guess this generation is more open to the indie titles; where games are made by very small teams and even a single developer. To take full advantage of technical power, it requires a much bigger team full of artist and production equipment.
Yes! Driveclub needs this badly.
I get where the article is going. We all want the next Uncharted to be the best ever in the series but changing the core gameplay does not make the game better. The entire Uncharted series, Drake shoots and kills armed people while gathering treasures and solving puzzles (oh and climb things with a grip like a gorilla). That is the core gameplay.
Yes it will be cool to have an open world for Drake to explore and not shoot so many people. Yes it will be nice if the mechanics ...
Just find someone who enjoy's everything you do. Spending more quality time with your love one is a guarantee to a long lasting relationship.
My fiance is not a "gamer girl" per se, but she enjoys playing video games with me or watching me play video games. **Except Skyrim, because I play it too much lol.
Controversy = click bait. nuff said.
Too sexy is not a thing. But I understand when it comes to realism, over-sexualized female characters can look fake.
I had this realization when playing DOA5 and saw Helena in a bikini fighting in the snow/arctic stage. It becomes comical and stupid after awhile.
In this case, Hajime is a mechanic. As long as they don't make her look like a porn star playing a "mechanic" role, I think it will be ok.
