then compare it to porn. people wouldn't expect game movies to succeed the same as porn shouldn't be a miltu billion dollar a year business. Game movies if they are the new porn (meaning success despite expectations), would do so along the same lines as porn, by being direct to consumer, cutting out the shitty parts (drama in movies), and pushing the technological envelope. As most of the 3D blurays that will be available will be from porn companies rather than hollywood.
...
why such games need 1:1 realistic damage modeling. idiot takes one corner at full speed, crashed up, then gets up and passes the wheel to the next would be Schumacher.
on console, the scope of the game and limited still of game play would have made more sense, it would be an extension to the Home experience on PS3 and a filler experience on Xbox. It could have worked if there was a way monetize the game and fit it onto console platforms (it hardly runs well on more modest computers).
But console owners while there isn't a platinum XBL subscription, have no extra money to pay monthly fees to play a game. if you're paying $100-$200 ...
greed, an over saturated market for this type of game plus an imploded commercial market for games, over ambition on a game that wasn't appealing (as shipped)...
smells like a full priced Xbox beta that will see a complete version on PS3 even though Microsoft is "partnered" (not platform bias, just means whatever we see first won't be the best example of this "project")
underrated how? people didn't have money for the system, 6 on 360 was adequate, and frankly the game is just ridge racer. Awesome game, don't get me wrong, it was an instant buy (6 on 360), but it wasn't worth the money then or now.
I was waiting for 8 for both systems rather than a quick cash grab on PS3 simply to promote 3D. where does it leave a multiplatform 8 if they are only now deciding to revive 7?
hey never thought of that but that's a great safety feature!
excuse me for echoing if it has already been said,
And still no iconic mascot from an internal studio's franchise. what are they waiting for again.. to make a dedicated gaming platform subset of iMac, or affordable version of their mobiles with controllers and exclusive games?
I hear other, much better developers saying the same thing. Money making franchise.. why would we keep leveraging them? bah! and fie.
make it red and get me LZIM across the back and we'll talk.
and only they could want him.. cripes.
or as engadget would, "CE'Oh Peter Moly'No he didn't!"
where indeed there enough fuel on the he's a pedo fire that even this fire alarm doesn't do more than make one shake his head and chuckle.
which obviously didn't deant his morbid fascinations, no, likely they made the prototypes and had to trim in the last couple of years of development to something that could be sold worldwide (especially to the western markets where erect ape penis would indeed have have gotten the game banned and PM Branded back when having him removed could have saved Lionhead being bought-out).
no no, movies was good and needs to be retried. If he could only put fable and Milo down for 5 minutes I'm sure Lionhead could achieve something critical acclaim worthy for Kintect if not just regular 360 IP.
or PM's personal fascination with little boys, dongs, excited apes, kicking chikens... the list goes on.
reminds me of Laura Bailey (bloodrayne games). Just noticed that there are now 3 movies and only 2 games, such a travesty.
very true but with the Ashely character being weird, having 2 weirdo female soldier characters would have been just as bad. Plus a more gung ho female soldier would have very irritating.
male shep reminds me of zoolander. Female shep and chambers = riot. female shep wins.
More like Carmageddon. But it only looks like carma.. I'll need to see video of game play before I consider it a proper rebirth of carma.
yeah whatever game was banned first for being "educational" pure and simple, they could have toned down the actual sexually explicit stuff like Sims does to make it teen friendly.
Microsoft loves their audience to be nice and ignorant.
