So long as EA keeps making NHL and FIFA titles I will always be buying EA games.
Loved the mass effect trilogy and loving the dead space franchise thus far, EA hasp entry of talent to once again release a new ip that could be just as great as mass effect (although Bioware created mass effect before EA bought Bioware) and dead space.
I am loving Battlefield 3, loved Dante's Inferno.
Sorry, just too many great games from EA this gen for me ...

I agree with you system sales are down simply because the market is getting smaller and smaller since most of the market has a 360, ps3 or a wii.

I miss Kevin Butler. Always loved the Sony commercials he was in. Sony even had him make a presence at E3. Not sure why Sony isn't using him anymore. Some of the best gaming commercials I have see this gen had him in them.

I am not excited but very interested. I love to experience new ways to play games. Sometimes they don't work and sometimes they do.
I bought the first game boy, virtual boy, power glove, Eyetoy (love eye of judgement) move and kinect.
I will always be open minded to experience games outside of the common and popular controller means to play.
You say generic and list 3 games yet to me watch dogs is just a generic open world sandbox game like GTA, Red Dead Redemption, Saints Row etc.

I agree that these are all New IPs where the community has shown an intterest in but 2 out of 3 are apart of that generic genre.

If I was a developer I wouldn't lower the price for dlc because history shows people are still buying it at its current price.

The 360 and ps3 are pretty much tied. With under a 2 million difference, I am comfortable saying Sony has managed to eliminate the gap. However ms is strongest during holiday season and has not had a price decreas since 2009 so ms still hold a couple cards in this hand to play. It will be interesting to see which console maker comes out on top (excluding nintendo) at the end of this generation.

When you consider the 360 hasn't had a price drop since 2009 and is still selling over 200k a month in north America alone going not its 8th year on the market, it seems the 360 is going strong. I expect a price cut at the time or just before the 720 announcement and will spark sales once again. Profits made from the 360 will carry over to the losses of the 720. Very similar to how the ps2 assisted in cushioning the ps3 cost which was priced at a loss like most consoles are marked as.....
I don't agree with the NHL being the worst run league in the US.
NFL and MLB are by far more poorly run.
I don't think MS is going to announce it at E3. MS will probably stage their own announcement either on MTV, SPIKE TV or G4TV.
If the announcement comes before E3, then E3 will just show a montage of launch titles for the 720, bragging about being the #1 selling console of last gen (this gen) while once again ignoring the dominance of the Nintendo Wii and the Smartglass/surface integration.

I can't wait for the next gen to start. If the wii u is coming out next year then the 720 will be out soon after with the ps4 right on its heels. I already have my money for the 720 and ps4, still on the fence regarding the wii u. Would like to know more spec wise about the wii u.

What you just said means that Sony doesn't have the money. Sony has a certain marketing budget for each department under Sony. Each department gets a certain % of the overall marketing budget Sony has. In many cases departments get a portion of their marketing and advertising budget reduced to assist other departments to help with a certain marketing campaign if it's needed. I agree 100% mass effect 1 had the best of the 3 stories. I also found that the game created a much better relationship with the characters.
ME2 and 3 redefined the shooting mechanics and made it more fluid but story wise ME1 was just a much better all around story.
