Well I have both XBL (been a member for 10 years now) and PSN.
I will tell you that IMO i am NOT getting ripped off as I am paying for a service that I feel is worth my money (since I have enough money to pay for XBL)that has features NOT found on other consoles.

I don't agree with that. Additions may have been added but but story, enemies the lore...all Dead Space. I don't play a game just for it's control mechanics. Fifa, NHL, Football etc. All games I buy every year simply because EA makes the best NHL, Soccer and Football games available on the market...(well there is no competition for Football so I don't really have anything to compare it against that has an NFL license)

I see BY FAR more ads in NHL 13 (a single game) every time I play a drop in game right after the lobby launches into the game then I do on the MS dashboard.
I launch the game right away from dash, I see ZERO ads. I play 6-8 games in NHL 13 and I see 6-8 ads.
I am tired of seeing McDonalds adds, Red Dawn adds and The Watch ads.

That transfer screen is the only transfer screen that was ever worth watching to the end.

MGS4 can be completed in 4 hours.
Took me 9 hours to beat Halo 4 on normal, 10 hours on Heroic and 15 hours on legendary.
I finished COD MW in 4 hours on normal.
Needless to say, there are far shorter campaigns in other big budget games then Halo 4 especially in speed runs.

Not everyone has enough HDMI inputs on their TV's to accommodate more equipment to be added....
Keeping older gen consoles hooked up to a TV may not be a feasible idea when looking for room to add the new next gen consoles.
I think not having BC is a serious concern going into next gen.
On a side note, I read that the new 720 will be using blu-ray...how will that work for BC 360 games?

First off, it DOES matter that COD was multiplatform hence why the $500 million made in 24 hours.
Secondly, Halo 4 made $220 million ALSO in it's first 24 hours.

That's true, but that $500 million is spread over 3 platforms. Halo did $220 million and it was only over 1 platform.
Which means the game should have still at least got a nomination for the mass amount of content that was in the game then.
Any kind of marketing such as events was NOT done by the developers, it was done by MS's marketing department.
