Forza Horizon has a lot of the physics from Forza 4 that was carried over. I wouldn't call Forza Horizon a "sim" per say but rather "more" sim attributes then NFS.

I seem to only see MS and 3rd party FPS IP's in big scale competitions where gamers actually make money by competing.
Halo has been in MLG for a long time. I have even seen MLG Halo coverage on a Sports Network actually showing replays.
If a game makes the highlight reel on a sports network...then I would say it's competitive.
Uncharted 2 and 3 are amazing games. I love them. Naughty Dog are truly some of the best developers this gen.
However with that said, Naughty Dog made a very good linear game with an amazing adventurous story and a broken and forgettable multiplayer.
343i has not only made arguable one of the best looking games this gen, but also have given us large open battle grounds, Stat Tracking, single player campaign co-op, Spartan Ops which will be 50 extra missions...
What 343i have done with the Halo franchise is mind blowing. I don't think anyone thought 343i would have raised the quality in a Halo game this gen so much more above what Bungie has given us.
to add to that, the amount of content that Halo 4 has packed into it is astounding.
MS clearly knew what they were doing when the let Bungie go and created 343i. MS must have known that Bungie could only take Halo so far and that in order to have Halo move forwar...
you named 1 game while we all know that its MS who has the "bad rep" of ruining gaming because they pay for exclusive or timed exclusive content from 3rd party developers....I guess nodody wants to point out that Sony has AC3 and Farcry exclusive content yet no comments how they are ruining gaming.

Didn't Sony first consider the name "Accomplishments" before deciding to go with "Trophies" because "Accomplishments" didn't sound right or was too close to "Achievements" on the 360?
I am pretty sure I read that awhile back.
I am not surprised Nintendo is now having their own "Achievements" in games. It's pretty much the standard this gen to have in games.

Halo 4 is the ultimate console game this gen has seen. Imagine if every console game released this gen had this much content with this many features back with all that support?
If my XBL $50 a year subscription contributed to having the funds to create Halo 4, then IMO I have spent my money wisely.
GOTY hands down. Nothing released this year (on consoles) can stand up to what Halo 4 is bringing.

I am seeing more and more Live action trailers with no gameplay in them every since MS started making them for their Halo Franchise.
