You don't seem to have a problem with the data when it's favoring the PS3....
Amazing how the loyalists of one particular console easily flip flop depending on what the data says.
@ Cee773
Actually God of War 2 doesn't say "hi".
GOW2 was already in development long BEFORE the PS3 was being manufactured, even before the final specs of the PS3 were given.
GOW2 was released in March of 2007 and the PS3 was released in Nov 2006. That is a 5 month difference.
So no, the PS2 didn't go out with a bang...at least not from 1st party devs.
And way to show your insecurity by br...
EA, Activision and Capcom haven't screwed me over. I buy what I want and pass on what I don't.
As for Kickstarter, I think it's a great idea. I don't understand how anyone can complain about it. Don't contribute if you don't want too, in the end you can still play it if you want. I am sure the Devs wouldn't hold a grudge against you for not donating to the gaming cause.
MS will more then likely stop producing AAA games for the 360 when making the transition to the 720. Wouldn't make too much sense to support a last gen consoles with AAA 1st party games. Sony didn't do it with the PS2 when the PS3 came out.
However many 3rd party devs will more then likely continue to support the 360 since it may be to expensive to develop for a next gen console right away. It would be cheaper to work on current gen. Again, like Belking says, it...
What otherZinc is saying is that if you want to play your PS2 games on your PS3, you can't. Instead Sony is remaking them and then you HAVE to buy the remake in order to play it.
On the 360, you have the OPTION (MS seems to always allow for options, what a great company) to either play your XBOX game on the 360 with last gen graphics OR buy the HD version for the 360.
Difference here is that MS allows for the option while Sony doesn't.
Your argument is flawed simply based on quantity > quality.
However, I prefer Halo, Gears, Fable and Forza over all of Sony's exclusives.
Just because a game is exclusive doesn't mean it's a great game. Just look at titles like Steel Battalion: HA or sorcery for the Move. There have been plenty of games from Sony that didn't generate high reviews or High sales. Socom, Twisted Metal etc.
You are also ignoring the experien...
I would argue that in MS's case, 2nd time was a charm.
The 360 has been a HUGE success for MS.
I really thought this game would do better. Sure it's a SSBB clone but there really are some amazing stages with character related themes. The character lineup is 2nd to none.
I bought my copy, why hasn't the community? It's got pretty much all your favorite Sony characters and some 3rd party characters.
Shame this game isn't going to do better and will most likely fall through the cracks.
Well looks like a happy family having quality time playing a family friendly game.
Hey can you show me a video of a whole family having that level of fun playing together on the PS3?
Didn't think so.
Can't wait. 2013 is going to be a great year for gaming.
Xbox 720 day 1 buy for me. Just need the date. Reveal should be coming before summer.
You keep saying "wait for the real numbers" but what are you counting as "real" numbers?
MS and Sony don't release "real" numbers, they release (like you said) shipped numbers. So what numbers are you expecting?
Do you want shipped to retailers or do you want sold to customers?
Stop getting the 2 mixed up. Shipped numbers means nothing. MS or Sony could ship 60 million units but that doesn't mean they ...
You do understand that Sony and MS numbers are shipped to retail while VGChartz numbers are based on sold to customers right?
The numbers will always be different because Sony and MS have units on the shelves that have yet to be sold therefore their numbers will ALWAYS be higher then what VGChartz will be.
Yes VGChartz are estimates, but they are more accurate then MS and Sony's numbers are if we are considering sold at retail and not sold to retail.
Even Jaffe picks Halo 4 over Journey.
In Jaffe we Trust.
Uh, do your research.
Accounts are "FREE" on the PS3 so it's easier to create multiple accounts.
On the 360 you NEED a gold membership for each account.
So to break it down to you, on my 360, my brother in law and my brother use MY account since they don't want to pay for a gold membership thus the "registration" only counts as 1 for BF3 on the 360 while on the PS3, since you can crate as many accounts as you want,...
Uh...Yes.
I have played Journey. I bought it when it hit the $10 mark.
It's a good game. I enjoyed it for what it was, but in NO way is it a GOTY. Compared to ME3, Halo 4, Borderlands 2 and Dishonored and the amazing amount of content, graphic fidelity, story and replayability Journey just doesn't compare. Journey is a great game for an Indy title. It's one of my top indy titles released this gen but it's just plain ignorant to think it...
I also have 3 Premium memberships.
Well...not ME. I have 1. My brother in Law has one and my brother has another.
All on my PS3.
So I am guessing that yes, it does count as 3 even though only 1 of us is playing at a single time and only 1 copy was purchased.
You saying "and you think journey can't be replayed ?" is a redundant question. Of course it can be replayed, but it will ALWAYS be the same. There is no real "replayability". Nothing to entice the gamer to revisit the game anytime soon.
Journey doesn't "change" with each play through.
There is no "multiplayer" where you can create a different "experience".
It's a good game f...
I am sorry but since 2012 is the year to be hip and trendy...I would say The Walking Dead is GOTY over Journey.
The Walking Dead can be played many times over with different outcomes and changes to the story.
Journey is only 2 hours long and doesn't have a real story.
GOTY is The Walking Dead, NOT Journey regardless of what this article is trying to insinuate.
What baffles me is how an indy game regardless if it's Jo...
Does having multiple accounts on the PS3 contribute to the amount of "registered users" on BF3?
I have 3 accounts on the PS3 and each one has a different user.
@ Root
"Real gamers don't need gimmicks shoved down their throat to like games"
I agree, real gamers are open to new gaming experiences and don't bash on something just because developers want to try something different in how games are played.
If it wasn't for the casuals, there wouldn't be a market for consoles. Casuals greatly have outnumber the hardcore on consoles every generation.
You shouldn&...
