Only an idiot would believe the 720 will require a constant internet connection.
Please don't be an idiot.
Also note, a constant internet connection doesn't use up anywhere near the level of bandwidth of constant streaming. Especially for games.
Unfortunately Sony seems to be really focusing on Gaikai with the PS4. I have a 120gb limit with my internet provider. Using Netflix alone eats up a lot of my available bandwidth.
I will be skipping the PS4 next gen. I just won't be able to afford the extra charges I will get from my internet provider from streaming games.
Real shame. I would love to play some of the PS1 classics.
We are still not there yet when it comes to cloud ba...
I remember Sony fanboys trying to justify their PS3 purchase by using lists of "exclusive" games coming for the PS3 and The Last Guardian always being on the list....and now here we are with rumors that it will be a PS4 release.
LOL. So now it's....just wait till the PS4 releases, it will have The Last Guardian, now that years have past and still no The Last Guardian on the PS3.
Maybe now Sony Fanboys will stop padding game lists with games tha...
"I can only guess Konami dont want to piss MS off because it would definitely make it THE version to get."
That is a very poor guess. The more logical guess is that Sony bailed on the Move because Move's sales are terrible. Why should a software company spend money in developing features for a peripheral when nobody owns it?
That would be a more logical guess.
@ Zechs34
That's a pretty narrow minded negative look.
MS could have kept Bungie, forced them to keep pumping out Halo's and never allow them any kind of freedom to try other ideas and IP's. Instead MS showed their appreciation for what Bungie has done for them and so allowed them to break off and work on their own ideas.
Bungie gets to try new ideas and creativity and MS gets first dibs on the IP.
It's a w...
"There is no reason for them to pay so little and then charge so much."
- Demand. That is all the reason they need.
VGChartz tracks sales from retail to general public which equates to market share.
The numbers you are referring too are "shipped" numbers given by a 3rd party and were stated as "estimates" and NOT Sony's own numbers, meaning what Sony sells TO retailers. So shipped numbers will always be higher then VGChartz numbers because obviously there are consoles in stock at retail from shipping. If you go to Gamestop and see available consoles on the shelves...
Yup Playstation 1 was the best playstation era for me as well. Resident Evil, Loaded, Jet Moto, Ace combat, Tekken, A-Train, Doom, Twisted Metal, Crash Bandicoot Need for Speed, GT, Legacy of Kain etc oh man those were the days.
Favorite gaming moments of my life.
Ya it's amazing how things change with time.
I can't wait to play it with my XBL buddies this gen.
@ BitbyDeath
Are you being serious?
You are listing total assets. Assets include what Sony has in stock like tv's and laptops. It's buildings and such like warehouses where items are kept. MS is a software company so they don't need warehouses full of products.
Another major aspect you have overlooked is the FACT that you are only looking at assets and not business worth. You HAVE to subtract their liabilities such as debt prop...
It's called hostile take over. MS could pay more then what the shares are worth and the majority of share holders could be willing to sell to MS. Sony is a publicly owned company. MS just needs majority of shares.
MS could buy out Sony 10 fold.
And let's say for argument sake that MS couldn't buy out Sony....MS could simply price the 720 so low that Sony just wouldn't be able to match. With a $100 720 on the market Sony would lose all mar...

How about voicing your opinion with your wallet and not buy bad games? That way you can still buy good gams.
Why so extreme with not buying any future games from gearbox? Pretty stupid and childish if you ask me.
Yuppers. That about sums it up.
I agree exactly with what you said.
Doesn't matter how fast a runner is closing the gap between him and the person in front of him. All that matters is that that person is still behind.
1st - Wii
2nd - 360
Last - PS3
That's all that matters....unless you are super desperate and need to believe estimated "shipped" numbers from 3rd party groups....then you are willing to believe anything.
I agree with what you say, but as much as I still enjoy skyrim, I would have to say Battlefield 3 is the game of this gen.
That tells me it was a bad year for gaming.
Amazing that psxextreme.com was so unbiased...../s
You are WAY off.
Sony didn't prevail. They have been in the RED since the start of this gen. The PS3 was their own demise. Not MS.
Sony fanboys pound their chests yet they don't go out and actually buy Sony's products.
MS made $550 million in the gaming division in Q3
Nin made $450 million in the gaming division in Q3
Sony made $6 million in the gaming division in Q3
It's you people who are ...
MS made $550 million in the gaming division in Q3
Nin made $450 million in the gaming division in Q3
Sony made $6 million in the gaming division in Q3.
1 - Stop complaining about MS and go and buy some PS3 games since it's lack of sales that is hurting Sony.
2 - Maybe Sony shouldn't be wasting money on exclusive IPs that nobody is buying.
Quality > Quantity

The only people BC is fading for are those who chose to stick with the Playstation brand.
The 720 will have BC and you will be able to play all your exclusives AND the HUGE library of multiplats released this gen on the system.
Would really suck to have such a huge PS3 library of games and you have to have your PS3 connected to your TV in order to play them. I console to play all your games on, from past gens to current gens. Can't wait for the 720.
