Last time I checked the PS3 was suppose to be stronger then the 360 and MS slapped Sony in the face taking away half of Sony's market share, selling a console that is over priced, making a console that developers find easier to program for, having better 3rd party support and games, making hand over fist in revenue for their gaming division etc.
Seems to me MS are in a much better position going into next gen to me.
Lets just hope that Sony didn't ove...
Whatever console doesn't give me backwards compatibility will not be purchased by me.
AS of right now, its the next xbox hands down. MS just seems to know what gamers want and are willing to support their peripherals more.

Ah, see suddenly sales matter to enjoy it since there is no single player game. Sales creates an online community. Many games are well known for their multiplayer and in order to enjoy that multiplayer, there has to be a community to play with.
Sales also helps with future support of that IP such as sequels and DLC.

I am disappointed in the lack of horror and terror in DS3 but even though this is clearly influenced by Silent Hill, I have to admit it's nice to finally get the proper horror in DS3. I just may buy this DLC cause I really need some horror in my DS games and DS3 has none of it.

Sony makes a lot of 1st party core games sure but looking at their sales, they are not exactly games that games want. $50 may not be that much money, but just because you have it, doesn't mean you just throw it away because of a nice shiny new toy. There has to be value that the consumer sees which would be worth spending that extra $50 over what the competition is offering.

Well the 360 is grossly over priced. It is about $100 too much. I have no idea how the 360 is selling so well when it not only hasn't had a price cut in the last 3 years.

Dead Space 3's lack of sales is a perfect example of changing a formula of a AAA Franchise. This is why so many games like CoD,Uncharted, Gears, Halo, Mario, Metroid Prime and God of War will ALWAYS seem familiar from their predecessors because you NEVER change your formula to a great franchise. If it's not broken, then don't try and fix it.
