You are both wrong, BluRay Movies CAN be region free, but don't have to be.
PS3 Games CAN be region free, but its up to the developers.
It is very possible that SE will put a "Japanese PS3 only" flag on the demo.
Considering that Sweden has a widely available 100mbit Internet without download limits ... I guess Internet wise Sweden is the 1st World country, and yours is the 3rd one ...
Also add that the point about Europe having less broadband availability than the US is clearly false. All of western Europe is covered with DSL lines with 6mbit minimum, namely Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Denmark. The UK is also covered at least as good as the US and Sweden even has a widespread 100mbit coverage. There are more households with broadband access in Europe than in the US.
The author is simply BITTER that all of his predictions from the last CES proved to be wron...
Sorry pal, but green light has a longer wavelength than blue light, hence it is worse for storing capacity, selfpwned much? The Blue/violet Laser is as short as lasers can go, therefor thats as small as you can get with optical media. Thats also the reason why a Sony exec said the next format (if there was to be one in the foreseeable future) won't be an optical disc, cause optical discs are maxed out with the blue laser tech.

Now all makes sense ...
Wasn't it supposed to ship in spring 09?
Easy, that was for giving "choice", a concept that seems to have dropped out of MS propaganda as of now. Choice is only good when the ONE piece you are allowed to pick generated royalties for MS it seems (HDI licenses). Like a "your money or your life" choice ...
Actually he is stuck with VHS tapes .. the next tech could be just round the corner you know?
And i can't imagine it reaching that numbers on a pure Mac environment
Thats a quite impressive number.
no saving needed, keep on boring us all with the yawn material ...
Less than vista if you can believe the PR
Considering that the retail version of every windows so far only reached the quality of a beta version from any other developer i call a windows beta, alpha grade software from the normal software standards. No other company could dare to release a software with that many critical errors and lable it "beta" with a straight face ...
Sorry to burst your bubble, but the PS2 has the same low percentage of crap games as the xbox360 (about 10%), and still the xbox 360 has LESS crap games than the Wii in total even though the xbox 360 was released a year earlier. Percentage wise the Wii has DOUBLE the crap as the xbox360 has, and only HALF the good games. So reality seems to be against your theory.
There are great games for the Wii, certainly, but nearly all of them are 1st party Nintendo games.
your sales data is quite of. I don't believe that there are 5 million xbox360 on shelves right now, thats nonsense, from the 28 million shipped they will most likely have 27 million sold.
actually the only GOOD games for the Wii come from Nintendo. The problem is that the 3rd party devs have found it more profitable to dump $100 dev cost garbage on the Wii as it seems even utter trash sells enough to finance it. Sadly several good 3rd party games tanked on the Wii for no reason at all, leaving the trash to reign the field.
sorry to disagree, but the PS2 has only 9% of sub 50% rated games, whereas the Wii has 20%. So for every bad PS2 game created, there are 2 bad Wii games.
Certainly there are more games then the ones counted by metacritic. But that would not move the percentages much.
Little chart to highlight the current problem, it speaks for itself.
I guess i'll abstain. I have low interest in using Alpha-level software on my PC. Though release seems to be not so far off with a public beta already on the way. Maybe summer 09 ?
Yes, with WindowsXP and Windows2000. Both had broad public beta releases (you had to register though)
It's not the same as a Story mode :(
Nevertheless i have it on preorder , naturally.
